Toby Jones was great as Hitch and Sienna Miller did a fantastic job. She nailed Tippi Hedren's voice. She is much better an actress then she gets credit for.
I don't think I ever seen a more beautiful actress that represents "Sophistication and Elegance" Only Tippi Hedren. I realized Hitchcock had a thing for Grace Kelly but even Grace Kelly did not have the style that Tippi Hedren had. It was unique. In fact, I emulated her style but never could come close to her ways - but I did admire her a lot and still do.
🦅 Geez, What a messy movie. Sienna doesn’t look or move or sound anything like Tippi, & the screen test- lord have mercy, Tippi’s real screen tests are on UA-cam & she is pure elegance. In this Hitch tells her to wiggle her hips (he didn’t) & Sienna wiggles like Mae West twerking during an earthquake !!! Tippi just walks like a model in her test. The only time Sienna looks sorta like Tippi is when she has her hair dyed & doesn’t try to act. I think I’ve seen here on YT where Tippi says Hitchcock didn’t really overtly abuse her until Marnie. Well, at least the director got the look of the 3 birds brooch right. almost..🍗
great concept..was this all true? the other side of hollywood movies...they need to make more..actors playing actors..sienna is so awesome... she played tippy hedren to the tee..

Sienna is very nice and intelligent and sensitive but the posture of her upperbody is sooo not suitable to represent Tippi who had a neck and shoulder "area" that were perfectly shaped and postured, actually like a ballet dancer. Sienna with the hair up does not really look that regal and sophisticated...
We still had to big up Hitchcock, saying just a obsession, it was far worse than a obsession & a bit of a monster , he insisted on the rape scene in marny ... it took the ME2 movement, see how we excused Hitchcock behaviour because he was a great director

I liked this film a lot. HBO movies are always pretty good.
Replace "Hitchcock" with "Weinstein" and it's no different. It's incredibly eerie to watch this now.
