Im currently sitting at an airbnb with my best friend and we are in the middle of Wales in a farm on a hill overlooking the valleys.
Its late October but still mild.
We are staying in the most quaint converted Summer house/Shed with a veranda with the comfiest seats clutching onto hot mugs of cocoa and watching fireflies and butterflies flapping around the dim light.
With this music in the background.
Its so perfect.

The fact you created that pic with Ai is crazy as it could literally be a real place, if not for the sun setting in the wrong place for autumn lmao, but anyway it looks like it could be someone walking down off the Forest of Bowland, the water is Morecambe Bay and the dark peaks in the background are the lake district. Very beautiful part of England :)

@@FolkRockFarm oh, lucky man! I am in St. Petersburg, Russia, but i have nothing to complain about in terms of autumn scenery and landscapes too. The colourful autumn here is coming to it's summit. The best holiday of autumn colours is still ahead, though it's the middle of October, and normally the foliage here is half fallen already by that date. But September was abnormally warm.
Btw, i cannot listen to ambience with headphones if i want to feel being where i am and have the music as addition to the situation. Headphones sort of detach reality from me, well, semi, and transfer me into the world created by music.

The traveler huddles deeper into his cloak as he progresses slowly along the dirt path that winds through the trees, his cracked leather boots squelching through mud and piles of rotten leaves. The valley ahead of him is slowly becoming shrouded in fog, and reddish-gold leaves rustle past him on the ground or are sucked down into the mud.
The wind tugs fiercely at his cloak as he walks, moving step by step towards the small village tucked between the trees just ahead. Perhaps he will find rest there. But no, he reminds himself bitterly after a moment, shoulders slumping as he trudges through the mud. No. It is so easy to forget. Cursed never again to rest, though there is none to blame but himself and his own atrocious deeds...
He shivers, though not from cold, and the sun slips lower on the horizon, washing the world in dying golden light.
A crow shrieks somewhere in the stillness, an omen that sends chills down his spine. "One for sorrow," the traveler whispers aloud, and the wind howls around him with a rage he can scarcely fathom. Perhaps he would have been able to once, back then. Back when his hands dripped blood and his smile was cold and empty.
But no longer. He hunches forward, pack shifting on his back, and continues tramping wearily through the mud. Eyes gleam at him from the reddish-orange trees on either side of him, perhaps those of a fox. Or perhaps not. Who can say what creatures roam in the fading twilight of the world?
Wryly he thinks to himself that now he is one of them, these creatures who wander without rest. Doomed to be alone, or rather cursed. But who would tolerate him after what he has done? He grips the straps of his pack more tightly. The crow shrieks again, closer than before.
The lights of the village are coming into view now, warm and golden against the shadows that are creeping across the world. Maybe one of these small cottages will be willing to give him a bowl of soup or a loaf of bread, just something to stave the hunger away for a little while. Maybe someone will be willing to let him sleep in their cottage for the night, by a crackling fire away from the gnawing, forsaken cold he has journeyed in for so long.
The wind digs at his hands, and spots of blood leak from his skin. His stomach rumbles as he thinks of what food might be waiting just up ahead-- hot, steaming cider; stew thick with meat and vegetables. The crow calls out, even nearer. He could likely see it if he looked.
He halts at the outskirts of the village and waits, sudden fear filling his chest. Surely they will not turn him away. How could they possibly know? He thinks of every other small village like this that he has come to and how, without fail, each one drove him out to wander once more in the darkness, stumbling along step by step. Fated never to rest. Perhaps, though they did not know him, they saw it in his eyes. Heard it in his voice. Felt it in his cracked and bleeding hands.
He swallows, and the wind howls around him again, whipping his cloak about his limbs, lashing at his hair in fury. Leaves, wet and decaying, cling to his clothes.
He takes a step forward along the path leading into the village. Someone will surely give him shelter. Someone will surely be kind. He does not know what he will do if they are not. Perhaps he will merely wander out into the fields and fall asleep forever, frozen, friendless, cursed. Perhaps death will lead him with mercy into the dark.
He takes another step, and another.
The crow does not call out again.
