Maybe I am done illustrates an archaic English verb construction that’s now found chiefly in literary, poetic, or religious writings. This is the use of forms of “be” in place of “have” as an auxiliary verb in compound tenses “Now I am become death, the destroyer of worlds”

Dear Madam, what's the difference between
    1. I am done with my work. ( present state as you said )
    2. I have done my work.
( = it's not long since I did my work and I am with the result of doing my work. )

On the other hand, "put" means: place or move to. You can say, "Put your books in the bag."

Question is if we want to say in general (passive voice) that , for example, some amounts somebody pays (regulary), we use structure:
The amounts are paid (Present simple - passive voice).
But if we want to say that somebody has paid the amounts and at this precise moment they are completed, we use the same structure:
The amounts are paid (Past Participle as Adjective).
In this case how to distinguish it?
