Hey guys and welcome to todays video where we are talking all things peptides and the best peptide serums on the market.. what do you think to peptide serums, let me know in the comments below.. Love you all x
So I only started being serious about skincare a year ago at age 59. My primary goal has always been to build collagen. Retinoids are definitely the best active for this but my eyes just cannot tolerate them around or near them. And my eyelids were crepey and droopy and very thin. So after a bit of internet sleuthing I found the research done showing Matrixyl 3000 could increase collagen and had been approved by the FDA as safe for the eye area. It's the only peptide to have had this approval. So I started using The Ordinary Matrixyl serum. 6 months down the track I would say the effect has been pretty incredible. 95% of the texture has disappeared and my eyes are much less hooded. The texture under my eyes has improved dramatically too. For the price and the safety of my eyes I don't think you can do better. This is my ride or die serum. Even more so because it is so gentle and makes my skin feel amazing. Can't recommend it enough to be honest
I just purchased this a few weeks ago. For under my eye, and around my upper lip I also use Beauty of Josef Retinal cream. It’s very low dose retinal, so I will probably use a different brand with a higher amount in the future. No redness or peeling and it’s very hydrating.
I think that you are mistaken. You must have seen FDA recognized as safe to use not regulated or approved just like gylecrin or any skincare ingredients. FDA regulated applies to drugs or ingredients that behaves as drugs. No peptides used in skincare has been approved by the FDA to have the capacity to change things in our skin. For now they are only cosmetic ingredients. When you buy products in the USA which uses FDA regulated ingredients which have been FDA evaluated to work and perform on the skin it is always listed in the ingredient list as drug facts (salycilic acid, petrolatum, aveena sativa...) with the exact concentration given. It's the legislation. It's mandatory. That is not the case with any peptides products based you buy and Dermatologists never mentioned it, although they always mention when an ingredient is FDA regulated. I am intrigued to know about where you got that wrong information from ?
I’m so happy to be back and seeing your great content, as well as “shelf chicken”. I’ve been in the hospital for three weeks after a nasty injury and haven’t felt much energy. Now I do so am watching your videos. Despite my injuries, what I noticed was a big difference in my facial skin without being able to use your recommendations. Now I’m home again and using my skin care routine. 😊
@@batooldalloul9397It's Rob's own Skin Care range. I have to agree that MAS Peptide is the most hydrating peptide blend. I'm currently using NIOD as I've just run out of Stratia. They are both great products but MAS is my favourite. It should be back in stock in December.
I was finally able to sit and watch your video. Thank you for the info re: peptides. The ones I'm currently using is Stratia Interface, and also just added the Ordinary's copper peptide serum. My skin seems smoother which is great! Another thing - I'm not sure what product I'm using to cause this, but I'm seeing hair growth along my hairline! I lost a lot of hair due to past trauma/stress and now the hair is growing back in. I'm thrilled, but I have no idea what is causing that to happen!
Oh yes, I’m definitely a peptide fan. This video is making me think about how many I use in my routine on a daily basis. Around 20. Peptides really are a major part of my routine at this point.
Happy Sunday Rob!! I was pleasantly surprised when finally placed my order that the NIOD was 50% off. I was bummed a couple of weeks ago since they were only 23% off. NIOD copper peptide and the Superoxide sprays are my favorite!!
Luminance premium peptide serum is a wonderful product. It makes my skin feel like silk and look glowing and healthy. I’m on my 4th bottle, I can let go of other things in my skin care routine, but not this! It is the one product that has made the biggest improvement in my sun damaged skin. All the Luminance products are amazing.
I have seen improvement in my mature skin by including peptides consistently in my routine over an extended period, i.e. more than a year. I am loving the G&G Power Peptides. I also use a growth factor serum and one with copper peptides.
So on your recommendation Rob I got the Geek & Gorgeous power peptides & it’s amazing. I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks in the evening and in the evening I use the Mad About Skin Serum which also has peptides. The MAS serum is the best serum I’ve ever used. Genuinely. It feels luxurious and my skin is glowing. After just 1 week! It’s a miracle in a bottle - Thankyou 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I so appreciate someone reviewing and recommending Stratia products. I love their Lipid Gold moisturizer and will likely order Interface since they’re running a sale.
At the moment I use medik8 liquid peptides at night and Geek and Gorgeous in the morning. I will definitely repurchase Geek and Gorgeous it feels lovely on the skin.x
I finished the Mary&May serum and have been using the Peach & Lily serum for about a week. I didn’t notice much with the Mary&May and it’s too soon to tell on the Peach & Lily. I don’t think I’ll buy another peptide only serum but am open to peptide products with other benefits as well. I got the HaruHaru moisturizer as a free gift so that’s what I’ll use next. I’m interested in the Stratia moisturizer too.
I reached out to Mary & May a while ago and asked the percentage of peptides in their formula: 0,00002% was their answer. It´s not a peptide serum and I find it´s a scam naming it like that. It´s basically a hydrating serum and nothing else than that.
With the latest purchase of the NIOD today ( just thinking i should have bought more), I have them and like them all! 😂I got advantage of the Theramide and Stratia discounts earlier this month, they are really gentle and easier to slot in as I use high strength Tret at night and VT Vit C in the morning. I need to figure out how to use the NIOD without compromising my skin barrier. I love learning all things skincare from your channel ❤xx
Such a great video, thank you! ❤ I adore peptides in skin care. As a 47 year old, mainly for their ability to help slow the signs of aging. I don't know about studies, but I do know that manufacturers of peptides/peptide complexes claim that some peptides are anti-acne. Like Myristoyl Hexapeptide-5 and Oligopeptide-10. And as you mentioned, some peptides are anti-inflammatory, which also helps with acne. I love copper peptides, they seem to normalize and help with all skin conditions, including acne healing. 🤩
I love them both and I think it all comes down to texture.. if you prefer a cream then go with Theramid, if you prefer a serum go NIOD as they are both great xx
Hi Rob, what do you think of the ordinary copper peptide serum, I just ordered it in the sale but now rethinking if I should return and buy one of these instead. It's my first time trying peptides! Thank you xx
I like it and I think its a good option.. I personally think the NIOD one is just a bit better but its usually a lot more expensive which is why I stock up in the sale lol... I hope it works for you x
G&G BL sale starts next Tuesday- can’t wait! Great products and great prices too! Have you done a video on your favorite products from G&G? I need to look on your channel and see if you have.
Oh thank you so much for the heads up and yes a month ago I filmed the best of G&G (though really I like all their products) cant wait for their sale.. love x
@MadAboutSkin Thanks! Just saw in your other comment that Cosrx is best for hyperpigmentation, so I might skip it because my main concern is firming. Anyway, it will take me a while to get to all of them, as 50 mL last me about 4-6 months usually! But I want to try everything! (I'm sure you understand the sentiment!)
Great video as always! Do you still recommend Medik8 Liquid Peptides? Or are the other ones you stated better? I’m considering Oxy-R peptides for hyperpigmentation as well.
Awe i love the stratia..just ordered 3😊 can i use to much peptides can the niod and stratia be used together as i like the stratia as my moisturiser...or how would you use them for the best x
Hi Rob😊 Question: regarding the Stratia interface serum/cream and the Niod copper peptide serum & possibly even the Theramid copper peptide serum… I noticed you mentioned that they contain growth factors or growth hormones? Are products with those ingredients safe for someone who has had pre-cancerous skin cells or any kind of skin cancers for that matter? I thought I heard somebody say you should avoid these ingredients if you have had pre-cancers.
Hi from 🇨🇦 Rob😊 What ingredients does the NIOD copper peptides interact with and how to fit it into a routine❓Will it react with my retinol, and vit C❓
Just got 3 of those NIOD CAIS3 for this sale! Stepping it up from TO 😁 Question, for the G&G Power Peptides can I mix that with Argereline and CoQ10 then apply? Mixed as in 1 solution om the palm.
I have to admit... I think I am getting on better with the Geek & Gorgeous Power Peptides than the Theramid. Although I've yet to try it together with the Ceramides serum from Theramid - I got both recently! 😂 I've been using the Stress Less, Power Peptides, and Theramid Ceramides since they arrived and my skin looooves it! But yeah, you've gotta check out the Aplb Azelaic Peptide Serum at some point! My sensitive skin can't even cope that well with aPad, but this works very well. It's got madecassoside and peptides. So healing! Only gone off it for the moment cos I'm getting enough madecassoside from the Ceramides and the Stress Less. 😂
Oh thats amazing hun and I am so so happy the G&G one is working so well for you :) thank you so much for sharing and hope your having a great start to the week.. love x
@@MadAboutSkin Naturium Multi-Peptide advanced serum contains both copper peptide and argireline if I remember correctly. I would love to have your opinion on this product ❤
Hi, after following you and watching your videos I’ve purchased G@G Vitamin C serum along with Q&A azelaic acid love it thank you so much. I now want to include peptides too what stage should I do it ? Maybe take out azelaic? Could you advise please .. thank you xx
I ran to get a couple of bottles of the Niod. Thinking of trying the Stratia creams. Wasn’t crazy about the lipid gold or the vitamin one? We will see if my curiosity wins.
Did Niod recently upgrade their CAIS? I just noticed on the product page where it says it’s now with pre-assembled and fully stable GHK-CU. I got mine a year ago and don’t remember if I saw that description.

@ thank you, i forget about their hair serum. Do you use it everyday?I used in the past but did not see results. Maybe i need to use it longer as you said.
So im thinking about purchising NIOD copper pepties ...even went to try it at the Ordinary store and it feels nice ..bit more watery which I like since I have combo skin...But help which one to buy Theramid or NIOD hahah
I found peptides before other actives and have been hooked ever since. I’m not sure of what they do, but every time I try to go without them, my skin doesn’t look or feel as good.
I like it but I think the G&G and NIOD ones are better in terms of what they offer and the price point is not that different (especially with NIOD having a sale) - Thanks for watching
@@MadAboutSkin Thnx for your reply.. How do you utilize NIOD Copper in your routine is you use LAA vit C ? Is alternating these @ in the AM slot sufficient to get benefits, or they have to be used daily to be effective? TIA
Little disappointed because I started using Allies of skin peptides after I heard from you and I really like it too but you didn’t mention it in this video 😢
Oh I love the allies multi peptide... I consider it a whole skincare routine in one rather than just a peptide serum which is why it's not in this video but it's amazing.. hope your getting some good results 😁.. love xx

Why not mention Ordinary Multipeptide + Copper?
I consider it a whole skincare routine in one rather than just a peptide serum which is why it's not in this video but it's amazing.. hope your getting some good results 😁.. love xx
