I am so glad that you have played one of Lucy and Martha’s duet. Yes this is my favorite version of this song. They harmonize very well together. I might also add that Lucy has many recordings available. I know you like “Hallelujah”. Lucy has a cover that you just have to listen too. Her angelic voice singing “Hallelujah” is just something to behold. I always like hearing new artists. Lucy is going places.

Another "One and done reactor", but not surprising just go to her channel by clicking her name and view her video lists and see what she has been playing. 6 months back and there are 10 to 12 different "singers she has played at lest 10 to 20 times........and NOT one more Lucy !!!! Why what I do when a new reactor plays a Lucy I watch, but learned NOT to subscribe until they play more. I was getting up to 40 notifications a day on my You Tube notifications and maybe one Lucy would show up, I tired of a plugged up notification so I started deleting those not playing Lucy, and daily I go to the You Tube search box and put in Lucy Thomas song reactors and any new reactors will show up, it cleans up the notifications.

This is the best version I have ever heard. Those girls sing and look like angels. I am looking more up right now. Lucy was 18 and Martha 12 in this video. They have dozens of videos on UA-cam.
This is the most heartfelt truly bringing out the prayerful meaning and feeling of the words. Lucy and Martha's version in my opinion is by far the best. Their voices are heavenly angelic which is very appropriate. Pentatonic is good if you like bells and whistles and theatrics with huge production budget. Others are also good depending on what people's tastes are and who their fan favorites are. That being said, my vote is without hesitation for Lucy and Martha.
Definitely this version, Lucy and Martha have several duets all better than original and Lucy far more on her own and all are beautiful. You won't regret listening to any of them.
This version is absolutely the best we have heard, and a couple of other reactors have also said they have the best version. and remember Martha was only 12 when this song was sung and Lucy 18. And Lucy has simply buried Celine, whitney, beyonce, Adel , Eta, hell even Elvis. she has such a wide range to her voice from low and bold to high and clear, Lucy has reach without the screech. And has been singing since she was 7 and with the same voice coach all the time.
This is a very tough song to perform. They out Celine.. Celine...they are that good. So happy to have discovered them 2 years ago. Both have grown physically and professionally. Sky is the limits with these 2 superstars.

In addition, an anniversary video with some reactors was produced. Both videos together already have 48 million viewers in a short time. (original Lucy 29 and anniversary 19 million).
I have listened to several of Lucy's recordings. She will be the next Barbra. She has perfect vocal skills and theatrical talents that can be seen in her facial expressions as she performs the music. Not sure how Martha will mature but she certainly is on the right path. Lucy in my opinion will be set for musical theater and live performances. She is "A Star is Born>"
Michael Weinberg Perhaps YOU are NOT aware Lucy is under contract with Cavendish Records since 14 and Lucy and Chris Broom, her song writer are working on producing the Musical ROSIE, which got put on hold for over 2 years due to covid but are back on track to open in 2024 in West London with Lucy as the lead singer. Lucy is also going to college. Lucy has 5 original songs released, plus she has 4 CD's released and about 60 songs recorded.
Aside from the flawless performance and harmonizing... if you take the context and perspective of the song into account this really does surpass all others.
I listened to all the performances. I still think Lucy and Martha are the best. Why? First , they are the ones who were the more creative. They transformed a duet "woman & man" to a duet " woman and child" making the song even more emotional. ( By the way , the fact that in Pentatonix the woman part is sang by a guy with mustache is not a plus in my opinion). Second: this song is an emotional song , full of good will and Hope. What can be better than two looking angels girls to sing it? 🥰❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗 About Marcelito , his performance is stunning , but after listening to him you think :What a singer! The emotional context of the song is not taken in consideration. Anyway, the contest will not be fair as some of the contestants have a huge,strong fan base , far larger than the others. Anthony the thing I find with "contests" like this is they are a popularity contest and those with the largest fan base win by default, no different than the talent shows as most people do not recognize quality but they will fall for all the Gymnastics seen in Petentonic and Marcelito and we know Lucy and Martha have out sung Celine and Andre but just watch the votes. I don't put much stock in this comparison any more than the crap pawned off as Modern music as we seen in these comparisons, the goofy stuff comes out "on Top" and quality is ignored !!! Why I have hated modern music for decades and have been so taken with Lucy and Martha, finally some QUALITY singing without the vocal gymnastic. Why Lucy has quite a mountain "to CLIMB" !!!!

Hi ya Debbie (?) - not anything I can add to Wilbur and Anthony's comments. This is by far the best version of The Prayer that I have ever heard - and I have heard more versions than you have played. Please go to Lucy Thomas Music channel and check out the other 6 duets by Lucy & Martha - and a few of the 60+ videos by Lucy. You won't be disappointed. Wilbur has listed several you would really enjoy. A couple more - I'll Never Love Again, O Holy Night, The Climb, All By Myself, and Never Enough - all of her videos are incredible. Two angels here on earth!
Another thought: Not only were you smiling but at one point you were even moved to mouth the lyrics along with them, and then a little later your eyes actually popped as they went for a high note. Your facial reaction shows how much you really enjoyed this video.
All the versions are great but Lucy and Martha have done something with this song few do they drowned themselves in the song that even the original writers didn't do. This is the best.
Given the enormous established fan bases of Pentatonix and Bocelli/Dion, it would be very surprising if one of them didn’t easily win the contest. Objectivity is impossible to enforce.
Actually, looking at the views for all the videos, it is Marcelito Pomoy whose troops have turned out. His video has far more views than the other 5 combined. He will easily gather the most votes, mostly from people who never even looked at any of the other versions.

Their mother is a singer also. They live in the UK and I guess their Mother’s Day is a different day. They just recently put out a video for Mother’s Day and Martha, the youngest, Lucy the older sister and their mother all sang in the video. Lucy is on another level and I believe Martha will be there soon as well. Lucy has her own page and has already made several albums, and is just unreal.
I know thus is far to late to take part in a vote but feel the need to make a comment anyway... Firstly as a matter of simple respect but also to have any kind of scale that's not based upon pure preference, nothing can ever be better than the choice of the author of the song. The quality of a cover is in how the artist maintains the spirit of the original whilst putting their own spin upon it. I can prefer other versions but it's meaningless to suggest that it's actually better than the original Its like what's the best version of hallelua, Leonard Cohen. But Lucy's version is very possibly the most beautiful I've heard. However I would vote for this one over the others, both on heart and for a number of technical production reasons... I dont want to go into detail here cause it would be an essay I'll note that the Pentatonix version has some beautiful moments, but it didn't bring tears to my eyes as happened the first time I heard this and have seen happen to a number of reactions from qualified vocal coaches etc. Its just not the same level of sheer angelic beauty that this one is.
All I'll say on Production here is that Lucy (or her coach) is making far better choices in the way she uses her range, her control and coupled with the fact that the 2 voices are much closer in pitch make for the breath taking harmonies and exquisite tone. Furthermore the choice of a simple backdrop of candles and choices in arrangement better encapsulate the spirit of the song than say the Pentatonix version. Marther is fantastic in her own right but it is mostly down to what Lucy is doing with her greater experience, vocal skills and more mature voice. (She is 6 years older after all). She's an incredible once or twice in a generation talent.
and their last release, SMILE where Mother Louise joins them and sings !!!! And you may not recognize Martha, she has Matured and so has her voice, sound just like Lucy !!!! she is 13 now !!! This was done as a tribute to Mothers day March 19 in the UK !!
In my opinion, there can be no competition. It's impossible (and unfair to Earthlings) to compare mere humans with angelic immortals from an alternate dimension like Lucy and Martha Thomas!

Lucy Thomas (she is British) has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 19 and has a voice far beyond her years. Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats. Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she has already sung the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’. She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. Martha’s voice isn’t quite like Lucy’s yet but they do sound very good together. I consider Lucy, along with Angelina Jordan, and Daneliya Tulishova the future royalty of female singers.

In addition, an anniversary video with some reactors was produced. Both videos together already have 48 million viewers in a short time. (original Lucy 29 and anniversary 19 million).
I have listened to several of Lucy's recordings. She will be the next Barbra. She has perfect vocal skills and theatrical talents that can be seen in her facial expressions as she performs the music. Not sure how Martha will mature but she certainly is on the right path. Lucy in my opinion will be set for musical theater and live performances. She is "A Star is Born>"
Michael Weinberg Perhaps YOU are NOT aware Lucy is under contract with Cavendish Records since 14 and Lucy and Chris Broom, her song writer are working on producing the Musical ROSIE, which got put on hold for over 2 years due to covid but are back on track to open in 2024 in West London with Lucy as the lead singer. Lucy is also going to college. Lucy has 5 original songs released, plus she has 4 CD's released and about 60 songs recorded.

Aside from the flawless performance and harmonizing... if you take the context and perspective of the song into account this really does surpass all others.
I listened to all the performances. I still think Lucy and Martha are the best.
Why?
First , they are the ones who were the more creative. They transformed a duet "woman & man" to a duet " woman and child" making the song even more emotional. ( By the way , the fact that in Pentatonix the woman part is sang by a guy with mustache is not a plus in my opinion).
Second: this song is an emotional song , full of good will and Hope.
What can be better than two looking angels girls to sing it?

About Marcelito , his performance is stunning , but after listening to him you think :What a singer! The emotional context of the song is not taken in consideration.
Anyway, the contest will not be fair as some of the contestants have a huge,strong fan base , far larger than the others.

Anthony the thing I find with "contests" like this is they are a popularity contest and those with the largest fan base win by default, no different than the talent shows as most people do not recognize quality but they will fall for all the Gymnastics seen in Petentonic and Marcelito and we know Lucy and Martha have out sung Celine and Andre but just watch the votes. I don't put much stock in this comparison any more than the crap pawned off as Modern music as we seen in these comparisons, the goofy stuff comes out "on Top" and quality is ignored !!! Why I have hated modern music for decades and have been so taken with Lucy and Martha, finally some QUALITY singing without the vocal gymnastic. Why Lucy has quite a mountain "to CLIMB" !!!!
Only other version that comes even close to this was the live Jonathan & Charlotte version from the BGT Final in 2012.

Please go to Lucy Thomas Music channel and check out the other 6 duets by Lucy & Martha - and a few of the 60+ videos by Lucy. You won't be disappointed. Wilbur has listed several you would really enjoy. A couple more - I'll Never Love Again, O Holy Night, The Climb, All By Myself, and Never Enough - all of her videos are incredible. Two angels here on earth!

Another thought: Not only were you smiling but at one point you were even moved to mouth the lyrics along with them, and then a little later your eyes actually popped as they went for a high note. Your facial reaction shows how much you really enjoyed this video.
All the versions are great but Lucy and Martha have done something with this song few do they drowned themselves in the song that even the original writers didn't do. This is the best.

Given the enormous established fan bases of Pentatonix and Bocelli/Dion, it would be very surprising if one of them didn’t easily win the contest. Objectivity is impossible to enforce.
Actually, looking at the views for all the videos, it is Marcelito Pomoy whose troops have turned out. His video has far more views than the other 5 combined. He will easily gather the most votes, mostly from people who never even looked at any of the other versions.

Their mother is a singer also. They live in the UK and I guess their Mother’s Day is a different day. They just recently put out a video for Mother’s Day and Martha, the youngest, Lucy the older sister and their mother all sang in the video. Lucy is on another level and I believe Martha will be there soon as well. Lucy has her own page and has already made several albums, and is just unreal.
I know thus is far to late to take part in a vote but feel the need to make a comment anyway...
Firstly as a matter of simple respect but also to have any kind of scale that's not based upon pure preference, nothing can ever be better than the choice of the author of the song. The quality of a cover is in how the artist maintains the spirit of the original whilst putting their own spin upon it. I can prefer other versions but it's meaningless to suggest that it's actually better than the original
Its like what's the best version of hallelua, Leonard Cohen. But Lucy's version is very possibly the most beautiful I've heard.
However I would vote for this one over the others, both on heart and for a number of technical production reasons... I dont want to go into detail here cause it would be an essay
I'll note that the Pentatonix version has some beautiful moments, but it didn't bring tears to my eyes as happened the first time I heard this and have seen happen to a number of reactions from qualified vocal coaches etc. Its just not the same level of sheer angelic beauty that this one is.
All I'll say on Production here is that Lucy (or her coach) is making far better choices in the way she uses her range, her control and coupled with the fact that the 2 voices are much closer in pitch make for the breath taking harmonies and exquisite tone. Furthermore the choice of a simple backdrop of candles and choices in arrangement better encapsulate the spirit of the song than say the Pentatonix version.
Marther is fantastic in her own right but it is mostly down to what Lucy is doing with her greater experience, vocal skills and more mature voice. (She is 6 years older after all). She's an incredible once or twice in a generation talent.

Lucy Thomas (she is British) has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 19 and has a voice far beyond her years.
Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats.
Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she has already sung the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’.
She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. Martha’s voice isn’t quite like Lucy’s yet but they do sound very good together.
I consider Lucy, along with Angelina Jordan, and Daneliya Tulishova the future royalty of female singers.

There are a lot of dirty people out there that write bindings into a contract and IF the contract is signed without a lawyer carefully reading it trouble can be had.
