I like this dynamic Shadow has with Sonic. Instead of a rival, he's a friend of Sonic and works with him. He's a lighter shade of dark, less pure, but still heavily on the side of good. And instead of the arrogance, he's supportive and friendly.
Well this is suppose to be an alternate universe where tails is a girl whose real name is Kate and I'm pretty sure this sonic saved shadow from falling to earth by not holding back in his super form using his true speed around the time of adventure which caused shadow to have some brain damage causing the loss of his right eye (his half alien DNA protecting him from any other brain damage.) And now shadow instead of being apart of G.U.N is just apart of group. This demo is an older build of sonic storm of course but this shadow is suppose to have a trench coat as well kinda like an outlander vibe.

@@laststrike4411 No it's actually based off tails orginal design as he was orginally gonna be a girl this game takes place in a world where sega made it happen and it's after adventure 2 when sega lost the console wars and instead of going multi platform they went to Playstation creating sonic storm and then the other stuff I said in the other comment are the basic premise of the game. But Kate and sonic's relationship is still just best friends as you can tell based off of how he acts his BFF being girl makes him a little more mature. These are honestly all the reasons I'm kinda obsessed with this fan game it's such an interesting idea.
The future of sonic is just going back to the past lol. Jokes aside, this is some of the most incredible stuff I've ever seen, I pray something like Sonic Mania for 3D Sonic happens, Sonic Team hiring from the talented fans who dedicate their free time to the blue bur seems like the smartest thing to do.
I really like the retro style from this PS1 styled fangame. I could believe i'm playing this on a PS1 or PS3 :) Design and graphically wise, it's just sweet ! Just seeing Shadow makes me think it has been updated xD
I like the concept of this game, however the snappy slightly uncontrollable camera when homing attacking and the huge flat open areas leave more to be desired. Level design has thought put into it, speed break and controls seem pretty spot on. Not too many complaints, actually gives me a nostalgic sort of vibe, especially from the graphic style and sound quality. Overall, solid 8/10.
Anyone else notice that the first levels theme is just sky troops from sonic heroes just with an 80's filter applied but it still sounds great regardless.
Something that I wish makers of 3D Sonic fan games would understand is that Sonic doesn't just cut through the air like Superman, he has air drag to prevent you from doing just that.

I get it trying to resemble a PSX game... but I am not a fan of the choppy framerate. I love the level design a lot more compared to the previous demo though. (edit) Wait this is an older demo? I... am feeling very conflcited now...
The older demo is definitely not as polished as the new demo though, the gameplay is alot better in the newer build. Hoping to see a more traditional level in the next demo

I like the idea of Sonic and Shadow being reluctant partners akin to something like Samurai Champloo.
