The problem with Varg is that he's far too insensitive to be compassionate & he appeals to imagined "past lives" that he can never know by his own epistemology. Sure, he may speak of things he's passionate about but he has very little compassion for people he deems weak, unworthy or in anyway foreign. I recognise this in his way of thinking because I tend towards the same way of thinking myself. We can't put too much fault on Varg for this, as this is personality type clearly. For someone who has these personality traits, he does have good qualities too which are worth mentioning such as promotion of self sustainability, his scepticism of mainstream narratives, & promotion of family values etc. It's just unfortunate that his hard hearted personality comes at the expense of these good qualities much of the time.

It made zero sense to invade his house with a SWAT team and ban all his content out of nowhere. Honestly it makes total sense to me, the direction he wants the world to go towards is against what the government pushes forward, which is left-wing. Although I'm right-wing, i actually think it's pretty reasonable for a government to control freedom of speech and prevent itself from being overthrown.

If someone gets a sentence of 30 years and they get released, resumes "normal" life whatever that is, should they be persecuted forever even though they did those 30 years in jail?

Not sure when the term "black metal" started being used. I remember though, when i was 10 years old (back in 1985), there was a boy in my school, that listened to extreme metal. And he used the term "black metal" as a genre. I guess it was to explain to me, that this was one of the most satanic, dark and extreme music which you could listen to. So in Holland 1985, i guess we used the term "black metal" already.
It was a term before 85. When the band Venom released their record called "Black Metal" in 82, the sound and name of the record essentially birthed the genre.
