Pink Turns Blue is another band that defies time. This could have been released in the 90's or even the 80's. Wonderful, sentimental dark-wave/post-punk. Like then, like always.

El trío alemán rompe cinco años de silencio. En abril sorprendieron con este "There Must Be So Much More", su primera canción desde 2016, en la que intentan reflejar los desafíos a los que nos enfrentamos actualmente en la situación de caos que ha provocado la pandemia del covid. Ellos mismos en un comunicado lo expresan así: "Una canción como alarma de autosatisfacción. Una llamada urgente para mejorar a uno mismo y hacer del mundo un lugar mejor".
En junio nos volvieron a sorprende con otro medio tiempo "So Why Not Save The World" que anticipa un nuevo disco con el que saldrán de gira próximamente, ya con algunas fechas confirmadas para finales de 2021 y 2022, también en nuestro país. Su sonido recuerda mucho a Editors y a Interpol, aunque Pink Turns Blue se formaron en 1985, siempre bajo la sombra de Mic Jogwer que convirtió a la banda en pionera del darkwave y marcando tendencia en los grupos actuales más representativos. Sus primeros álbumes “If Two Worlds Kiss” (1987) y “Meta” (1988) son hoy considerados discos de culto. Cuentan con una carrera de más de tres décadas dentro de la escena de la música oscura y el post-punk, con una extensa discografía de 10 álbumes de estudio. Sus nuevos temas, editados bajo el sello alemán ORDEN Records, cofundado por el propio Mic Jogwer, les devuelve a la actualidad demostrando que su música sigue vigente en estos tiempos tan convulsos.

Okay.. mir geht es mit dem Sammeln gerade genauso, wenn ich deine Worte lese, weil es mir ähnlich ging, als ich das Lied das erste mal hörte. Die alten Songs von PTB sind verdammt gut und ich höre eine Menge alter und neuer Songs in diesem Genre.. was PTB hier mit dem Song abgeliefert haben, ist Gänsehaut pur und mit das Beste, was ich bisher überhaupt gehört habe. Da werden selbst einige meiner absoluten Lieblingssongs von "The Chameleons" wie "Monkeyland", "Don't Fall" oder "Swamg Thing" nass gemacht und bekommen knallharte Konkurrenz.

I was too young to experience the age of music that they came from, but I randomly found some of their songs a few years ago, and so, big thanks to the algorithm for bringing this new one to me. It's good! It has that addictive new wave vibe but it still fits in modernity, yeah?

Really, really love this song. Don't want to exaggerate, but to me maybe one of the - if not the - best PTB songs so far. In a beautiful way melancholy. but full of energy - empowering - at the same time. Hardly can't wait for the album.
