Are there not deacons, trustees, or an executive board at New Birth? If I would have tried to bring in some sort of financial adviser to my congregation, there are people at the church who would have checked things out before he would have stepped one foot in the door. I am held accountable to anyone except God. But as a pastor, I have people around me that help guide me in my responsibilities. Something is very wrong with the people at that church.

@KhristozRising, I touched on it a little, but let me expand:
● If he were the "compassionate" pastor he claimed to be, he would ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY -- at least in part -- for placing his congregation in the position to be harmed.
● A tangible show of his "compassion" might be to SELL his Maybach, condo, and jewelry, and use the money to make sure his people are taken care of. He could VERY EASILY do that. Why doesn't he? Because he doesn't really mean what he is saying.
@22psf - Can I ask you a question? Are we to be investing in man's investments...or investing in the word of the Most High? If you bring your friend to my house ( I don't know your friend, I only know you) and your friend steals my cellular phone. How would you feel, because if you never brought your friend to my house, I would still have my cell phone correct? it makes absolutely no sense to say a person is great yet you have to ask them to do what is right in this situation.
To Eddie Long way of thinking, an appeal goes like this: "You better be getting that money returned as quick as you can. These mofos are breathing down my neck, I got enough problems right now and I don't need no grief from you."
And "great man" and "great things" is a reflection of how "Bishop" Long views himself in his own minds eye. What is good is evil, and what is evil is good. He just doesn't know it, nor can he.
What kind of moral authority does that reflect?
3. @22psf -their due diligence. Scripture tells me not to put my TRUST in a man...but in him only. Man includes pastors, teachers, doctors, police officer and judges too. When more people stop being lazy and due their duligence and seek discerment, the less victims a con man will have to take advantage of. That 1 thumbs down above must be a blind member or follower of Long. How much more does a person need to see from Long & the likes? You deserve to be broke & taken advantage of if you continue to deny the obvious facts before your eyes. We have an obligation to ourselves to protect our families & our financial interest. @NotYourTypicalNegro I don't know Bishop Long so I couldn't tell you what his intentions in making this video was. But regardless, this video really does help because a major public figure brings attention. There are people still losing money and maybe with this video, someone will put a stop to it. Taylor did not visit only this church. Advertisements for this business opportunity was aired during major national radio shows. Where are these public figures? Why aren't they making demands?
@NotYourTypicalNegro It is easy to say that 5 minutes of research now will save people their money. It is because of people like myself and others that were fooled by him that have posted our stories and reported his unsavory practices to the authorities. At the time, there was mostly positive info to find about him. 2 complaints about a publically traded company that was doing so much is nothing. You would expect more. But the company even explained those complaints away. How could you know?
How much money in kick backs did he receive from the company when he brought the "investment firm" in to the church. If these people are still with him they deserve whatever they get!
@nogetophule -I can speak on the matter because I use to be a member of that church as well. When I tried to confront Mr. Dollar I got no response. I have several questions I wanted to ask...now I overstand why they have body guards because people like myself want to confront these false prophets. They know they are full of it. Trust me they know...that is why they build these huge invisible walls around themselves. Mr. Dollar day is coming too...I see the fruit he bear..it's not different

Understanding that this post is regarding criticism of Bishop Eddie Long, I would just like to point out that EphrenTaylor did take people's money, not just those from this church but many others as well. It was supposed to be an investment in real property that was never received by many and no refunds although guaranteed. Although most of you do not like Bishop Long for other reasons, at least he is trying to do something to help. Taylor had him fooled. Bernie Madoff had people fooled too.
@ThePal0926 -I overstand what you are saying...but the vitcims thought they were investing and this is what they thought they were doing. They should have known investment 101 guidelines. So yes, he did not invest their dollars or credits...(federal reserve notes) but at the end of the day...an investor must do their homework on both the vehicle they want to invest in and the stockbroker /investment firm . It should not be based on hear say or loyalty/friendship for another but PERFORMANCE

Two wrongs don't make a right. It doesn't matter how wicked someone is, the Messiah didn't instruct his servants to curse people. If someone is wicked, we just have to separate ourselves from him, if he is our enemy (enemies are not necessary wicked), we just have to bless and love them. Obviously, EL deals with some sociopathic behaviors that make him wicked if he doesn't repent. God always deal with the wicked to protect the innocents, and his judgement may be more serious than just leprosy.
Eddie Wrong has gone to his judgement and his work and his deeds are going to follow him to Hades....
4. @22psf -WON'T ask many questions and will not do ANY HOME work... so we must not fall in those to categories. I am sorry that his congregation lost their Federal Reserve Notes...but they have a LEVEL of accountability as well in the matter. PROVE all things...Most High never EXCLUDED the things coming out a church.

@NotYourTypicalNegro - I did a 3 minute yahoo search on Mr. Taylor name and I pulled up a 2007 compliant on his character. I took 3 minutes to find out something NYTN.
GO TO RIPEOFFREPORT then put Mr. Taylor complete name in it...the complain starts with a 2007 comment. What happen at new birth was a year ago.

@22psf, if Bishop Long (or anyone at his church) had done 5 minutes worth of research on Ephren Taylor at the time, they would have found out then what they are finding out now.
Bishop Long did not make this video to help people. The only reason he did this video is because he was aware some news was about to break. And the people here do not like Bishop Long because of what is represented in this video. This is prime example of his cowardice, deception, and failure to take responsibility.

@NotYourTypicalNegro The thing that saddens me the most are hundreds of children and young adults that are involved in this ministry and are being mislead by this man; in addition too, the hundreds of hard working people who are giving their money to these thieves. May God have mercy on these dishonest pastors who scatter the sheep and lead them astray.

God see's every secret thing and God gives us the grace and discernment to study for ourselves to show we are approved in God's eyes. Bishop is only a man preaching God's word, he's a sinner too and a man of God, guiding the New Birth flock. When people are misguided by a Bishop that has his own dealings with God, God exposes him and his agenda. This is a wake up call for God's people, When the Headship fails is sin, the world will judge him if he's guilty in the court room and in time.
This is a golden opportunity for Eddie Long to begin to rehabilitate his image. Too bad he's too greedy and blind to see it. NYTN is right. He has the means to do right by his people but he just won't do it because it would cost him. He would rather make a cheap video instead. What a sad individual.

@NotYourTypicalNegro - When I use to attend World Changers...he made you feel terrible if you didn't tithe...but if people would READ their bible...Tithe was given ONCE a year. Also it was given to the priest who were LEVITES. If you pretended to be a priest and entered the holy courts it was death. Is creflo pretending to be a levite priest? Or is he a seed of Abraham? Cause the levites don't have land. He's trying to be both...and Most High is going to deal with him and his wife...watch

The woman with the issue of blood touched the hem of his garment and got healed. When I went to WC it was based on us being a respector of person he said. We should be able to speak to any minister and not just him. I never heard that too anointed thing...but I wouldn't put anything past the wisdom of foolishness

LOL ... Eddie Long is a narcissist! He can't be wrong, so he has to blame others ... This kind of speech is good for his congregation because their brain have been adjusted to this kind of non-sense but it's not suitable for a UA-cam audience (or the audience he is trying to target ).
