- Hi, I am Szabi, and in this video I present a day in my life. I am a WordPress plugin developer, working from home, doing web development, selling my plugins on CodeCanyon: 1.envato.market/coderevolutio...
I am living together with my family: my wife and my 4 year old daughter - Maya.
I am a also on a plant based diet, intermittent fasting, making regular workouts to stay fit and trying to spend as much time as possible with my family. I love coding and creating new and interesting stuff! I am selling my work on CodeCanyon - I am a CodeCanyon dev. I am also doing support for my plugins alone, so I check my emails often. :)
Also, I try to live my life to the fullest!

The trick to work life balance as a developer is to code as fast as you can while you actually do work. After, you are done, you can take long breaks and still finish on time.
Nailed it! Also, the quality of work should be high, people don't really pay us for garbage code. :)

so he worked 4h45. I recommand 6h/day for efficiency, if you do more, you loose in efficiency.
4h45 is good when you have a family, work for money but don't live for working. Kids need us more than our money :)
Actually, when my daughter was below 1 year old, I worked 10h+, but while she grew, my working hours also shrank. Now i am lucky if I manage to work 4-5 h

Hello, I personally create only WordPress plugins and sell them on CodeCanyon, please check plugins I created: 1.envato.market/coderevolutionplugins
I am not doing any other freelancing or site setup, just plugin coding and promotion + support for existing customers. I find work by listening to suggestions customers make, and I create the plugins which are the most suggested and which I find the most interesting to make. Afterwards, I put my work on sale on CodeCanyon. This is what I do. If you need more details or help, let me know. Cheers!

Thank you. I have a Huawei p60 lite, does the recording job flawlessly. Editing for this I used Camtasia, for other daily videos I usually use ZDSoft Screen Recorder, with built-in webcam.

How long it takes to make one item? seems like you only coding for 4 hours more or less...
Depends on the complexity of the plugin, it can take anywhere between 1 week and several months. :)

I am in the process of trying to learn Wordpress and wanna be a developer , how did you get started ? What online classes or bootcamps do you recommend ? Do you have a degree or certificate ? How did you land your first job ?
I was a C# developer, unrelated to WordPress or PHP, I learnt this alone, at home. You can start with W3Schools for PHP and the WordPress handbook from here: developer.wordpress.org/themes/ - afterwards, you can start editing existing plugins, checking their functionality and starting to create your own plugins. So would you consider yourself to be a front end developer if you’re a word press developer ?

It looks like you just spent more or less 3hrs/day in coding? I'm a Top Rated Freelance WordPress Developer in Upwork but no family yet. I spent more than 8hrs/day and can't even do workout, go to the mall, for short, I don't have a happy life (not enjoying my 25's) 😥
