So yesterday I go to my lfs, purchase a couple clowns from a clutch raised locally. I mention that I follow a reefer on you tube that is starting to raise clownfish. The guy working in the store nods and says Bahama Llama! I said Yes! Remy, love that guy!
Love this guy because his passion is inspiring! You are not “just a guy” you truly love these fish. I wish everyone great luck and great fortune. I am looking to start and doing tons of research. Not to mention, the hubs works at Petco so just waiting for the 1$ a gallon sell. Then it’s on. Another great video.
Remy, your videos are always so fun and interesting. There are a lot of salt-water reef aquarium videos out there, but I keep coming back to yours :) Anemones are my favourite creatures - other than my cat - I first saw them 42 years ago in a rock pool in France. Keep up the great work.

I’m in the process of stocking a 40 breeder reef tank of my own and the fish I’m thinking about are 2 clowns, white tail bristletooth tang (I keep hearing different opinions on the matter but my lfs says it’s ok and I’ve seen yellow and bristles in 40 gallons before) , blue spot jaw fish and a wrasse (going back and forth of a few) just wanted to hear your opinion since you take great care of your tanks
As far as the tang goes...I have a tomini in my frag tank but it's 4ft long so he's got some room to roam. Not knowing your experience level (you might be an expert) I'd say that's a lot of money to spend for a 40 breeder. With the blue spot and white tail that's close to $300-400 in two fish...unless you're getting a deal. I think they'd all get along ok. Personally I'd want a big display for a spectacular fish like the white tail.

Can someone help me out? I have a frag tank that has been going for two months now and I have a lot of red-brown algae in my tank and sump and my skimmer fills up with nasty water every two days. Is it high phosphates or what?
I'd say cyano, which kinda blankets the bottom of the tank and various surfaces. If it's stringy it's probably dinos. Dinos are actually caused by having too little PO4 and NO3 in the tank. So if you test and those both come up 0 it's probably dino.

Is Ben mixing strains of anemones in the same system of water? That’s a NO NO. Also breeding seahorses is a full time job. They procreate like it’s their jobs. Culling happens a lot with all the sickness, defects. I love seeing fellow reefers trying to learn more and get into it. But one thing at a time and do a little more research before losing stock. Really look into mixing nems first. 🌱🌿🌴 #PS1A
To bad that phrase at 13:23, they all started, idnt always feasible. Wether it's money, space, or time, many people can't start at all. Only lucky ones or privileged ones get to start most of the time. Majority don't get that privilege. It's a nice saying, but a saying that is more false than true.

I had three nano tanks with three pairs of clowns in each tank, moved the all to my 180 now they all act like family.
