- This is my first game in over 8 months! And although they say you never forget how to ride a bike, I wonder... does that work for goaltending?

Welcome back! I really liked watching your videos... I decided to put on a cam too when I started as a goalkeeper almost 3 years ago. It really helps to make corrections... but at my age we do with what we have left😉

Honestly, not a bad first game back Sam! And welcome back, by the way! #55 really helped change the tempo of the game by letting the opponent know that he wasn't going to let anyone take cheap shots after the whistle. He was also pretty solid defensively: smart hockey IQ, clearing the crease, cutting angles, boxing opponents out.

Welcome back, always fun to see your games... it usually gets my syced up for my games. Was the other goalie a player subbing in? You looked pretty good out there for having time off, it takes me a while to get back into making the right reads and reactions.

It absolutely doesn’t. In January, I messed up my ankle slipping on ice. I couldn’t walk without crutches for a few months and had to do physical therapy. When I came back to the crease 4 months later, I was worried I’d suck. But I turned out to be better than I had ever been
That is awesome! I think I am finding that the break has allowed me to clear my head and just go back to the fundamentals of goaltending which has been helping a lot.
What stick do you use if you don't mind me asking? I have a set of all black warrior pads and gloves and have been looking for a nice all black matching stick. Sick videos btw, been binging a bunch love em!
What advice can you give for a goalie above 300 pounds and a small amount of skating lessons

"Surprised i didnt pull something there" pretty much sums up playing nets when you are over 30
I just returned after 14 years to the goal, veeeeery rusty but im sure it will work out in the end haha :)

Right now I am on 2 teams. But I play pick up games as well so sometimes 3 times a week now.
