Just got back into Battlefield 4 after the disappointment that is 2042. Started playing 1942 at internet cafes at the mall back in the day and got most of my playtime in BF3 and BF4 on console. Coming back to this game was a bit daunting but so worthwhile. It's such a shame to see the series stray so far from what I believe to be the absolute highlights in 3 and 4. Your series has helped me gain a much needed strategic awareness to be more than just another body to throw into the meat grinder. Thank you for that and I wish you luck going forward. Love the opening with the RHIB. One of the most underrated murder machines in the game. Very common vehicle with an amazing weapon that shreds infantry as well as inflicting max suppression almost instantly to screw up return fire. I'm over 1100 kills with it at the moment and plan to get a lot more.
I often find that the best way to get D is to park a RHIB amongst the shipping containers on the Chinese side of the ship and man the minigun. Most players will either come running out of the ship or from around the side of the ship with the jeep on it and can be mown down. Spawners will also often appear on the island closer to E and come running over, but most will be focused on the point itself and are open to ambush. Even if a boat comes along you can always bail out and swim around to the ocean side of the point and hide among the shipping crates.
***** Very true. Like the MRAPs, the RHIB can be great when used well, but when used badly it will be useless. I always find these lighter vehicles are best used in support of a tank or boat that will distract all the enemies. The MRAP can absolutely devastate infantry once you get used to the gun and where to position yourself. Against 1 or 2 enemies at a backcap there isn't much they can do and assaults in particular can't even hurt an mrap without their GL, Nothing more hilarious than watching an assault circling around the car trying to do damage and then slowly reversing over them lol
this map is really growing on me. ive gone on huge kill streaks on the center flag inside the resort. i can say, its one of my favorite base game maps. even though it seems to give advantage to us i still have a lot of fun on this map.
it's sad that this series and channel is really underrated just because people don't care about playing around objectives and only care about how to improve aim or kdr

I use support sometimes when teamwork disappears and I need to do a little target softening with a few mirrors and reloading my team usually starts them out following me. Just one way I see using support maybe someone else has too
thanks for the video. I have a tendency to lose on this map because of the stupid rooftop. I usually collapse the tower parts, but the enemy still camps up there with stingers and people guarding the elevator. I think this map is just super frustrating an its a bit like flood zone, but flood zone isn't too frustrating unless you get mauled by rooftop campers 24/7.
+Stealthygunner X My secret for the rooftop campers is a spawn beacon in the bushes near the base of the building. Takes a few quads wipes to realise what's been happening to them.
Octometh That's a cool idea. I've also used my mortar in the front lawn of the hotel too. I don't care if camping with a mortar is cheap sometimes. Camping on a building just to get kills is equally cheap.
I honestly have a way easier time on the CN side with this map. The lav has a lot more breathing room on the CN side than the US side. The attack boat can play more defensively there. The scout heli has much more cover. all these things combined and you'll have the infantry farmed in their spawn on C (which usually in the middle of the open) by vehicles and the defenders will eventual lose because their infy can't even make it inside. If we talk about back capping. The US side is probably he easiest to back cap. the plethora of places to hide between US uncap and their given points make constantly taking both extremely easy. not to mention shutting down enemy vehicles with all the cover.
Can you do a video like this for Golmud Railway? I always lose on that map and I'm usually a very good chopper gunner and rank driver, but I still manage to lose later on
UCAV service star, ugh, I just threw up in my mouth. I am a strong LAV player and this map is easily my favorite for LAVs. There is plenty of cover to use to break lock-ons or avoid that pesky rpg. The cover also allows for enough time to reload and not give engineers the time to fire more than one shot at you. This also allows you to PTFO and cap flags without being a sitting duck. The back stretch between B & E lets you cross the entire map relatively fast & easy whether you are trying to back-cap/re-cap one of those flags or need to retreat quickly because you are taking heavy damage. I try to avoid the C-island unless the action draws me there because the terrain is a little more tricky and higher numbers of anti-tank personnel.
Unfortunately, nowadays there are only 2 or 3 people for every 32 actually practice these strategies. Community is atrocious now and teamwork is all but dead.
I hate this map, if the enemy is on the roof, they kill you as soon as the elevator, this has happned to me twice, there is no way to take the roof as the chinese team, its impossible, I am just dying and dying with my ironsigths only P90
if you have a Squad and use Skype, you should plan an attack where there are 2 people in each Elevator and 1 in a Heli, the Heli clears the people at the Elevator and the 4 guys clear the rest of the roof
I don't like these maps where the flags are in a more of a linear fashion. Like lancang. The flags are all after each other. The map is like a half moon. Zavod is a good example of where the flags are all around you
patrik streng Lancang is a pretty awful map because they decided to put literally every vanilla vehicle on it. If it were limited to choppers and light vehicles, I think it could be a lot more interesting.
Definitely not, still tonnes of people playing BF4 if not more than Hardline, I just took my copy of Hardfail back to the shop in disgust, so I for one will be playing a lot more BF4 :)

Here's the thing about roof. The more enemies in the roof, the less on the flag. Roof = Loss on almost all maps.
