    This has to be one of the best tutorial videos on UA-cam, for any topic. It was clear, concise, and extremely informative. Thanks for the help!

    Thanks so much for this tutorial. I mounted power outlets to my project box with lead cables running out of them, and I still followed your steps from A to Z. Works like a charm! You have by far one of the easiest tutorials to follow. Cheers

    Thanks for being clear on how to program the stc1000. Mine came without instructions on how to set the temperatures and the instructions I found online made little sense
    VERY Conveniently the way you demonstrated how it works is almost exactly the way I have mine set up with a bulb, because I'm building an incubator for quail eggs, and I need a light to go on and off to keep them warm.
    Thanks again.

    Hi Homebeerbrewery - just used your excellent tutorial to wire up my honey warming cabinet - very clear and very helpful = Many thanks. ( Sorry about the whole brexit thing - I didn't vote for it)

      What do you mean sorry for the brexit thing, i work with a Bulgarian and all her friends voted out too. It's not what nationality you are just more what you can bring, like Australia

      Well I was thanking the Homebeerbrewery gentleman and expressing solidarity with the EU and my own personal regret at Britain leaving.- not commenting on Britain's future immigration policy but since you want to get into it,... if you think you voted for a points based system then good luck with that. No one has said that is what is going to happen. What will not happen is that all the EU and Non EU nationals currently here will leave. We won't be returning to pre-decimal currency and we won't be getting the empire back What it is increasingly clear you did vote for is a declining economy and a smaller impact on world events. The ramifications of Brexit will be felt for a long time, by all of us. It may work out for the best, it probably won't - time will tell, not rose tinted optimism.

    Excellent video! Everyone else uses a wall socket, and I thought that was a great idea until I see the simplicity in using a weird socket. With the added mobility and simplicity in wiring without having to break and modify pieces of the socket is a great alternative. A+ guy.

    Glenn, Many thanks from sunny Spain for the ultra-helpful video. I plan to convert a freezer for use as a fridge and also want so set up my slow cooker as a sous-vide machine (not using the same temp. controller I hasten to add). I had doubts about wiring but you explained things perfectly. I know I could use single relay TCs but will get STC1000s in case more complex projects come up in the future. Again, many thanks for your great efforts, JC

    I just wired up an STC-1000 to control the circulator on my solar collectors
    It works like a dream circulator comes on at 45 deg c and shuts down at 40
    I will experiment more with an ideal temp and differ but it has saved me $125 over a solar collector,,,,namely a CL-30

    By the way what is for compressor delay time ?

    • @homebeerbrewery
      @homebeerbrewery  Місяць тому

      Thanks for the kind comment! Compressor delay is just a safeguard to ensure the compressor does not cycle on and off too quickly, which can damage it. It only needs to be 1 to 3 minutes.

    Hello, Thanks for your comment! You can ignore the earth lead but it's better to solder it to the earth circuit (eventually of the AC power plug or the STC power cable) I have to be honest, I don't use a heater too, just the fridge. Maybe in the future I will do some tests with my heat beld. Cheers to you as well!

    The thermostat of the fridge is not interfering because I removed it on my fermentation chamber. I connected the 2 wires together from the thermostat so the compressor will be always on. Now can the STC do it's job, power on and off on the pre set temp. Eventually yes, you connect the fridge power plug into the STC. Hopefully this information helps.

  • @homebeerbrewery
    @homebeerbrewery  11 років тому

    Hello, it isn't necessary to add a cooling fan or something. You can also only use the heat port of the STC. What are you connecting, a light bulp as a heat source or something? You can test your STC with only the sensor and power to see if it working correctly too. Let me know please. Cheers

    Hi, thank you so much for the great info!
    I have a question. I've ordered an st-1000 and misunderstood that I could not run both relays simultaneously.
    I'm wanting to basically have 2 heating circuits (relay closed if under a set temperature)
    I'm using each to cut power to each side of a 220vac circuit. It will draw +/- 5amps total between the 2.
    Can you think of a good way to approach this?
    Thanks!

    What did you do with the thermostat on the fridge?
    Did you disable it?
    Do I simply plug the power chord from the freezer into this?
    How is the thermostat going to interfere? I thought you had to wire it into the thermostat or disable it?
