Thanks so much for posting Tony. I just loved going to Greenfield Village, and the museum when I lived in that part of the country. Such great memories. There is just such joy and history there!
Really impressive and unique car show. It's amazing how many of these old vehicles are still around and being driven. A true testament to how well built they were. The Village is equally impressive, and something on my bucket list to visit. Thanks, Tony, for bringing us a glimpse of this history. 🇨🇦
Nice to sit back and look at all this, always a good time getting to see Greenfield Village, so many things going on, pumping water, splitting corn, or just people watching, Thank you for sharing this with us
Thanks, Dave! That place is so amazing. It's gives me so much peace and comfort when I'm there. It takes me totally away from the outside world and makes me feel like Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, The Wright Brothers, Harvey Firestone, and all of them are there with us.
Another great video Mr. Tony! You have really captured the spirit of the day with all the different cars driving around as they did in the 1920’s & 1930’s. It makes us appreciate the Old Car Festival even more. There is a lot of work to making these so we want to thank you for all your hard work and great job you are doing. Roseann & Dan
Thanks, D & R! The next Old Car Festival video will have you guys in it. I'm having a really hard time getting caught up from being gone and am way behind on videos. Then, the next one will be adding intermittent wipers to an 86 F250! 😏
Thank you, Tony. I doubt that I will ever make it up there, so I really appreciate you taking us along on your trips to Greenfield Village. It really does feel like I am walking along with you.
You're welcome! I wish I really could take you all and be your personal tour guide. That place is my Disney World. It takes me back to such simpler times.
We are well. Thank you! We are home and getting ready to show you another Lincoln. We finally got my white one all detailed back up today from the trip. The sites and sounds of these old cars running around the village give me so much peace and comfort.
Yo Hi Tony from Warren on the eage😅of the D Mi 😅😮 hey thanks for sharing your time and video of some important Details about Detroit History 💕 I grew up in the D 😅 and thanks I learned something 👍🤩🙏
You're welcome! The D is my favorite city. I hope you know how lucky you are to have grown up around so much rich automotive history. Stay tuned for more. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Hi Tony, I do like when you are visiting Greenfield Village and when you are making videos with all those old cars and all this old buildings from history.👍👍
I’ve got to get back there to see the village. Went to the Henry Ford Museum with my son but only had time before getting back to U of M to see my daughter and football!!
That was awesome Tony, Gee has it been a year since this show last played out? I'm going to have to mark my calendar so I can attend next year. Interesting statistic, The oldest car show worldwide.
Thank you! I love it up there so much. This video won't get a lot of views, but I know some of you appreciate it. It's definitely been a year. Start planning your trip now.
Makes me imagine of how life would have looked in the 1920s and 30s with all those on the road. Man what a different world. All the people walking around too kinda went with it.
Seeing all these old cars makes me wonder what it looked like in the 20s and 30s. No check engine lights on any of those. My dad was born in 1921 and he used to talk about those old cars.
😊😊 IVE heard a about greenfield never been there myself in person 😮😮 I like the old school.equipment it's cool yep other people my age or a bit older didn't grow and see the cars trucks and other equipment I see them Edison and Ford did have shops 2 work out of during that time ⌚ 😊 U see things in a alot more detail in person I see that myself when U can really look at things and see the details 😊😊 OMG 9 26 2O24
I used to live near Greenfield Village and have been there and the museum which I also love, but never knew about this festival until last year when Jay from "what it's like" featured it. Have you been the Piquette Ave museum?
Thank you for posting this video, nice to be reminded of where it all started, but if you have the time can you please help me with my 88’ town car,the front upper control arm bushings (I think the upper control arms are sliding on the bushings themselves is there any to fix them without replacing the whole control because of expense and don’t have the funds at the moment,I think the control arm busing holes are worn bigger than the replacement bushings if I were to change them, value your expertise, get home safe
Yes. It they are wollered out, then, yes, you'll have to find replacements. I've never seen that happen, though. They are probably fine. The bushings have metal sleeves. They have to be pressed out and back in.
Thank you for your time but will let you know how I make out with the bushings but have one more question and hopefully with your expertise you can help me with replacing the seats in my town car as in what can I swap them without drilling new holes as I can’t find reasonable priced replacements,my real question is can I put later town car seats in or plush grand marquis seats in,etc.,etc. Godspeed
Thanks so much for posting Tony. I just loved going to Greenfield Village, and the museum when I lived in that part of the country. Such great memories. There is just such joy and history there!
You're welcome, Billy! That place is my Disney Land.
Thanks for bringing us along to greenfield village. I always enjoy. ♥
You're welcome! It's definitely my happy place.
I love old cars, and the history wish I could have a warehouse full of them just to admire them.
Me, too!

You're welcome! I love that place so much. When I'm there, it's really like being back in time, and it gives me so much peace.
I love this time period, with everything they had. I would love to have lived in that time period for just one week.
More work yet such simpler times.

I love that some of these drivers are dressed properly for that time period!!! Unreal!!
More do than don't. I always dress the part myself. It's such an amazing place and event.
@@tonyscarcare5657 I am so glad you shared this video!! See you on the next one!!
Thank you! I have more Old Car Festival footage coming up.

Wow!!!!!!!! Fantastic video, I haven't been there since the mid to late 60s. Sure has changed!
Thank you! They're always adding something new. I'm never disappointed, and I go twice a year.

Hi Tony. A step back in time. I recently bought a 1917 Model T Roadster and you are right, 1916 was the last of the brass radiators. 👍
That's awesome, Mark! I'd really like to get my 1921 T going and take it up there.
@@tonyscarcare5657 You definitely should. You could tow it behind that beautiful black F100. 👍
F150! Lol.
@@tonyscarcare5657 oops 😬

How cool! I gotta go up there for this next year!
You won't be sorry.
Nice video. Had a 1932 Auburn in the festival. You got her in the shot. At 6:51. And yes it was cold!! All part of the adventure. Thanks
That's awesome! Thanks for letting me know!
Nice video. Did anyone else notice the rude couple at the beginning of the video, that stepped into the flower bed to save half a second of walk :)
I’ve got to get back there to see the village. Went to the Henry Ford Museum with my son but only had time before getting back to U of M to see my daughter and football!!
I love the place. I could live there.

Wonderful video Tony. I need myself a time machine.
Thank you! The Henry Ford is as close to a time machine that you can get. I never get tired of that place. Over 300 years of history all in one place.

Can you drive one of those cars Tony? Jay Leno did a video on one. They are totally different than a modern car.
Yes, sir. The Model T is tricky, but the Model A is way more modern.
I used to live near Greenfield Village and have been there and the museum which I also love, but never knew about this festival until last year when Jay from "what it's like" featured it. Have you been the Piquette Ave museum?
Oh yes! There's endless things to do up there. I wish I had a house in Dearborn.

The upper control arms have to be taken off, and the old bushings pressed out and the new ones pressed in. It's a job!
We are home now. Thanks!
I don’t have to worry about the holes in the control arm being too big for the new bushings because that’s my concern
Yes. It they are wollered out, then, yes, you'll have to find replacements. I've never seen that happen, though. They are probably fine. The bushings have metal sleeves. They have to be pressed out and back in.
