Yeah. Duke Nukem Forever is in the same vein as something like Aliens: Colonial Marines. It's reviled due to its its legacy and the internet pile-on, but the actual gameplay experience is just kind of mediocre. Just middle of the road shooters from an era full of shooters that people weirdly expected more from in their heads.
