Then there was that army man that was violently arrested and threatened earlier this year, despite being in his uniform and complying. When even black people who serve this country in the armed forces and law enforcement are not safe from this police, then something will have to give. My stepfather (Hispanic, Pro golfer, and good friend of Lee Travino), once got picked up and thrown in jail for allegedly J walking on Alamada street. The police beat him to the point he could not eat or talk on the phone. He finally wrote a note and convinced someone to call my Mom to come to bail him out. I was targeted by local police because I posted a conversation I had overheard from police officers during a peaceful protest at the capitol during the DAPL protests. They demanded that I be fired from my job. When that didn't work, they harassed me constantly. When that didn't work, they made up enough parking tickets to issue a warrant for my arrest during a time when I didn't even own a car. They attempted to intimidate me and hold me in their custody over the weekend, but I was fortunate enough to pay off the so-called fines before that happened. Who knows what they would have done to me if they had me in custody for 3 days.

Exactly! Does anyone really believe that the undercover cop is the only protester Boone, or the police in general, attacked that day? Yet, somehow, there's only one victim. 🙄 I was curious about that, so found an article about the case: "Hall was among more than twenty people who alleged police brutalized them during arrests that night, but no criminal charges have been filed in response to any of the other complaints" (source: www.riverfronttimes.com/newsblog/2021/06/17/ex-st-louis-cop-guilty-in-beating-of-black-undercover-officer ). Of course there haven't been any other changes filed, even though it most likely would have strengthened the prosecutor's case to show the pattern of behavior.
Boone wasn't even charged with premeditated assault, theft, invasion of privacy (for streaming the day to his girlfriend while dealing with people's private information while on the job), tampering with evidence (for destroying Hall's phone), and for the false report he must've filed. I somehow doubt Boone and gang admitted to assaulting people for fun in his arrest reports.
WTF is going on with the jurors that they didn't convict the other officers who took part in beating Hall and destroying his property?!
I can't believe that there are people in our country who think there's no systemic racism here anymore. 🤦‍♀️
