  • We are excited to welcome back Simon Cocozza. Simon is the author of ‘Core Conditioning for Horses’ and specialises in the successful rehabilitation of kissing spine horses.
In this webinar, Simon will help us to understand the rationale for his methodology. Building on his approach to core conditioning, he will explain how we can use simple rehabilitation exercises to improve the horses posture and rid them of pain.
He will help us to understand how to:
    -Decompress the topline
    -Separate the pinching processes
    -Retrain the horse’s posture
-Return the spine to correct alignment
-Simon’s goal is to give every horse the chance to work happily and comfortably.

I bought my mare a year ago this month. I was told she needed an adjustment. I had originally suspected ulcers and took her to the vet. The vet did not find a reaction that indicated ulcers but I my gut was telling me something was still wrong. Nothing was mentioned about kissing spine, the vet was very busy that day and because the mare appeared healthy and is well trained and stoic in situations that are new, I felt she was just passed over. I rode her lightly through the summer and fall and tried to determine if her reactions were just behavior (as everyone else suspected) or something more serious going on. I started doing a lot of research and I whole heartedly feel that Kissing Spine is a high likelihood. She is due to have an X-Ray done in a month that I insisted be part of her wellness exam. In the meantime I am trying to do as much research as I can and work with her in hand to strengthen her back and core. If anyone has any good suggestions they are greatly appreciated. I will just be happy to get some sort of answer to this. She is such a nice mare and has so much try I just absolutely do NOT believe this is just a behavior issue.

Just had this come up on my front page. Found it absolutely fascinating and as a new owner of an ex-racehorse with a stiff concave back I think it will be life changing. I can't wait to get started trying to help her. Thank you.

Sensacional! Vou escrever em português mesmo, na esperança que o UA-cam espalhe para mais pessoas no Brasil também.

Hi Simon, does your approach also have 100% success rate in reversing KS in severe cases of stage 3 and 4? Surgery is wanting to be avoided at all costs (to the horses welfare and longevity).

Is it worth buying a horse with a kissing spine? Or is a long horse just a problem generator?

Would you recommend PEMF to help the horse?
