    A fabulous hitter. He has every shot down pat. However no one can see from his ability to hit a ball how he would do against an opponent who can hit it back with pace and make him run to get it.

      Thats where the experience come into play . With his ability , as time goes , he will be able to do . He looks like a consistent player , he did what he was supposed to , sign of a very good player to be . this is very important .

      "any college" is a big measurement; there's a big difference between maintaining a groove during a drill and playing a match.

      @@SirChameleon I think the other guy is trying; likely just a different level player important thing is to get it over the netand in the court, he's doing that.

    • @SirChameleon
      @SirChameleon 4 роки тому

      @@dmmusicmusic It seems like it doesn't it? However, he is not. Here are a few things to look for while considering player A at the top and player B at the bottom. Player A's form and ball control is smoother. Player A is setting up player B pretty much every time by hitting all the shots towards the middle. And one more just because, player A never goes for an offensive shot. You may say "player A is a pusher..." Unlikely - he's too smooth to have such poor decision making. :)

    • @dmmusicmusic
      @dmmusicmusic 4 роки тому +2

      What no one mentions is that the guy who is hitting the ball to him he had short every time like around the service line it’s easy to hit those balls if the ball is coming in deep like within 2 feet of the baseline that’s a different story

    • @KH-ks7si
      @KH-ks7si 4 роки тому +7

      He’s not playing against a real opponent, he’s playing against an opponent who is setting up good shots so he can look good. I’m not saying he bad, I’m just saying that it is difficult to actually understand his skill level if he’s playing in this sort of scenario

      I like his killer instinct. On most of these recruiting videos, the players are showing off consistency, beautiful strokes, whatever. I played DII what seems like a lifetime ago, but if you watch the current Stanford/UCLA matches, the best college players have big games. They don't need to be able to hit 20 balls every point--they just need a weapon, and some athleticism to hit some off-script shots. This kid is hitting out, going for winners, and imposing his will. Impressive!

    • @dmmusicmusic
      @dmmusicmusic 4 роки тому

      not 4.5but entirely possible a good 5.0 or 5.5 could wreck him in a match, mental toughness, composure under pressure, and point construction are huge factors.

      @dmmusicmusic 4 роки тому +15

      No such thing as "too good" for college. where do you people come from? probably play 3.5 in local league and think you know something, "hitting" inside with a solid but slight;ly weaker player who consistently replies with a short shot(short being near service line), nothing truly special in the video, solid foundation, but only time will reveal the quality of the "metal."
