How can you not love this team this year and these kids?! They played so much of the season with their best players on the sidelines and they fought through it all. There is so much talent that is so much fun to watch. And the personalities on this team was on full display in this interview. No wonder this team has so much great chemistry and enjoy each other’s company so much. How do you not love kids like this?! And then there’s Geno, the proud father. 😉 I could listen to him talk basketball and player-management philosophy all day. So much success and so much wisdom collected along the way. Looking forward to the Final Four. Paige is coming home!!! 😎

Paige Bueckers. She belongs to the rarest category of great athletes. Those precious few who play their best when pressure is greatest. Pressure is the crucible that separates merely great athletes from the very, very rare 🐐.
Especially for those with a first hand working knowledge (players, coaches, trainers, staff) of how very difficult it remains to reach a *single* Final-4, Uconn's 14 straight towers among monumental sports records.
The greats seem to be on a higher philosophical plane. Geno has so much under his belt, and he lives for this, knows the drill, but understands what it takes be pursue that greatness. John Wooden, back in the day, was the same way. On a higher plane. And they are fighters who move that passion onto the athletes. This was an incredible press conference following a very important win for the UConn Lady Huskies who now go on to their 21st Final Four in Geno's era. "You've got to appreciate it. And you've got to enjoy it." Not only his players learn from him - we all do!
