But did you fix the 16bit/44khz input sample rate requirement for the Measure app?
Hi! More sample rates might be supported in the upcoming releases, so please stay tuned!
@@SoundIDCreators hopefully, it's been so many years...
🤠 Do you guys have a profile for the new Rode NTH headphones yet? I don't own them but considering, as long as I can get a profile for them.
Hi! Thank you for reaching out! At the moment this model is not supported. You can see the full list of supported headphones and submit a headphone request here - www.sonarworks.com/soundid-reference/resources/supported-headphones
Does Sound ID change the initial calibration in anyway compared to ref 4 or is it identical accuracy?
Hi, thanks for your comment! We constantly work on improving every aspect of our product, thus it is recommended to remeasure your setup with SoundID Reference if you have been using Reference 4, this will give you the best accuracy and up-to-date calibration results.
so, is it saved inside the headphones. I mean if I remove the headset and use it with other machine, then will It be same or reset to default.
Hi, thanks for your comment! The calibration is not saved into the headphones themselves, you would need to run the SoundID Reference app or the plugin in a DAW with your selected calibration profile in order for the profile to be applied (it is software-based).
If I upgrade from reference 4 to sound ID reference can I keep reference 4?
Yes, not a problem! We do recommend to use one or the other and hard-close one when the other is in use to avoid issues. Please find more information here - soundid-reference.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4408493777170-SoundID-Reference-conflicting-app-message
@@SoundIDCreators thanks for the response
So you simply discontinued Reference 4 (for no obvious reason other than a new name) and now I need to repay to upgrade to the "new" Reference SoundID, which is basically the same? Did I miss something here?
Hi! SoundID Reference is the successor to Reference 4 and it comes packed with quite a few new features, as well as an improved and updated UI. We can recommend checking out the features here: www.sonarworks.com/support/soundid-reference/360003040080-Using%20SoundID%20Reference/360005418959-Using%20SoundID%20Reference/360020063900-What-s-new-in-SoundID-Reference- (With that said, you can still continue using Reference 4).
@@SoundIDCreators Thanks for the quick reply. For me it looks like a chargeable update with a new product name and Reference 4 is not compatible with Ventura. I do like the "Translation Check" and the " 'For listening' profiles" though. Do you have a Crossfeed function to simulate a stereo effect for headphones (like the SPL Headphone-Amps or Goodhertz CanOpener have) or do you plan to implement it?
We have received feedback and requests from a few other users for a crossfeed function and it has been discussed several times in the past, although we have never put anything definitve on the product roadmap. While we cannot make any promises for crossfeed to be implemented in the future, we have taken note of your feedback for our product team :)
I'm on the Reference 4 Headphone Edition and 39 Euro for the upgrade... Hell no. I'm in a third world country, that's a fucking lot of money here!!!...
