Arishem is indeed busted. That said I think darkhawk. Mystique is still a very efficient counter. I ve had an easy climb using multiple decks all of them have the compulsory darkhawk mystique sera and rogue. I ve used negative versions. Blink electro big card versions and sera darkhawk mystique is a great counter. Doc oc is the only disruptive card to that combo. Then you need prio to play darkhawk and let doc oc play mystique for you. Even without prio alioth is a coin flip as darkhawk is able to flip a location you are losing by much. That said. I think it s the only reliable counter I have found. So although I had a pretty easy climb I had to include these 4 cards in every single deck so it was indeed boring. Whenever I tried to drop them things got significantly more difficult.
One of the best deck few days ago was running Cosmo, Sera Surfer on their Darkhawk-Mystique deck which pretty much almost a checkmate if you draw these 4. Cosmo T3/T4 followed by Sera T5 and then Darkhawk under cosmo + Mystique on T6. or T5 with Darkhawk under Cosmo and then Mystique + 3 drop

Thanks for the video and the deck. I'll be curious to see how they nerf Arishem, if they do. Fewer extra cards? Less extra energy per turn? It's tough to predict.
@@d.zuhdis.3275 No idea, but there's only so many dials you can turn on a card, and that's one of his biggest ones. Perhaps they can change it so you have seven energy on turn six or something like that; in the turns prior to that, you have the same amount as your opponent.
If i face this sort of deck i use a high evo hybrid with a pinch of bullshit to get the power decreases on joard and slap down luke cage and it usually wins
This will sound arrogant, but I promise - I'm not trying to sound arrogant, I'm only trying to educate: This so-called "number one deck" gets easily defeated by the Dagger Clog deck I've been using. Simply put, if you can clog them with Titania, Green Goblin, rocks, and a White Widow's Bite (and then force their hand by playing Doc Ock into a lane), then they can have 1,000,000 energy - if they have nowhere to play their cards, you can Shang, Cannonball, and Dagger to your heart's content. Goes to show - it's not the deck, but how you use it.
Loki and Quinjet are the problem 100% the other cards are annoying, but the way they can replace any bad draw with double discount Loki cards is insane
A: You have to draw them both together and both cards are rather bad by themselves in Arishem. B: Loki isn't that good if you aren't swapping out a lot of cards, and Arishem has trouble filling their hand consistently.
@@freddysweeper You already have extra energy, you don't need the discount to play your whole hand most games. And with a 24 card deck, you need to play literally every card that generates cards to have a shot at seeing them consistently to fill your hand, and cards like Cable barely count because they often give you cheap cards. The cards aren't good in Arishem unless you high roll, and are often bad. That's just how the game plays out.
As it turns out having +1 energy from the start of the game is good... and I don't think this game has enough bad cards to make +12 random cards be bad as often as it would need to be for +1 energy to not be worth it.
It’s only annoying because I’m playing against Arsham every single game. And there’s no strategy to counter it, it’s either have dark hawk or don’t have dark hawk….. sometimes I just auto retreat because I’m so sick of seeing that damn card
What do y’all think an Arashem nerf would look like? Obviously the stats can’t get much worse? Should it shuffle it more junk? I think that would make darkhawk an even better counter.
They should treat Arishem's cards shuffled to your deck as "yours". At least quinjet wouldnt insta win your game on turn one or We just wait for Cassandra Nova(+Grandmaster)
I think that the best way to nerf this card is to make it pure random. The problem is the fact that you can still play most of your starting deck, so have his effect be this instead: At the start of the game, +1 Max Energy. Replace your starting deck with random cards of the same cost. Shuffle 6 random cards into your deck. You still get the energy cheating, but now you're truly playing a random deck and to compensate you now shuffle only 6 extra cards into your deck.
Then you will have literally no deckbuilding strategy. Just Arishem. That's not how card games should work. If you want to increase the randomness of Arishem, they could make him shuffle more cards so that the starting deck will even be less likely to appear.
@@d.zuhdis.3275 Card games also shouldn't have a card that puts you ahead on curve every single turn but here we are. Sure, let's make them shuffle in even more cards to make Darkhawk and the upcoming Cassandra Nova even stronger. And how many extra cards would it take for the starting deck appearance to be at an acceptable rate? My suggestion is pretty much the same except it doesn't needlessly inflate the deck even more.
Anything. You're so unlikely to draw any particular card in Arishem that you can just play any good card; probably skew towards more expensive cards that don't need a lot of supporting pieces. Namora has been an all star for me.
I've literally not gotten over 73 with this deck. I'm just a terrible player clearly who should give up. Been playing since the start and never hit inifinate. It's so discouraging.
This card is definitely busted it’s extremely fun to play cause it’s not balanced you can beat it iv played a wong surfer deck and beat it iv played knull zola and beat it you can win against it cause there are weaknesses to it but the +1 energy is too much with the quin jet I feel it should give all the random cards more power instead to make it more fun to play against then being hit with a bunch of 6 and 5 drops a turn or 2 early
Been beating this deck left and right with High Evo, Gilgamesh 1 drops, Asgard decks, Tribunal. Great when you draw all your tech cards as you need them; but the randomness of it generally makes it fall to good structured synergy decks. Doc Ock on 4 is the only scary thing about this deck
I hate this deck so much. It's in 70% of my games. Arishem is fine, Ive been enjoying playing a Mr negative shell with it, just another way to get neg out on t3. It's the combo of quinjet, coulson and Loki that's making it busted. Blob mystique is also annoying but you don't even need to run that because everyone's playing Arishem so you just play scumbag Loki, get their mystique and blob and win.
Add series 3 cards that counter Arishem decks as well as Darkhawk and Cassandra Nova (pretty safe bet) while still standing on their own as respectable cards if your opponent isn't Arishem
Take out the +1 energy and Arishem would be more balanced. It’s just impossible to out tempo someone who starts the game with more energy. Also Loki probably needs a nerf too because cost reduction is so ridiculous. It’s frustrating because decks like Blackbolt and Junk got such heavy handed nerfs to multiple cards within those archetypes to the point where they aren’t even competitive anymore.
@@MrDoomsday7 Starting the game with more energy is broken. Cost reduction is hard to balance, why do you think Quinjet and Sera were nerfed to prevent cards being 0.
@@JoshuaCarvalho-o9q Because they are series 3 and more players have access to them whereas arishem and loki are series 5 so less people have them also series 5 cards are valuable and expensive they don't need such a heavy nerf it would make them trash to play
Removing the extra energy straight up kills the card and don't give me this crap about nerfing mana cheat cz it's still going crazy with cards like sera hope and Loki+quinjet.

@@methanesulfonic surfer is also great. I also had fun with namora. And I made decks with a list that doesn t make you think that darkhawk is coming. Great for cube equity.
I do also like that arishem players are confident and they snap quite often.
37:30 The title says that the right location is "White Hot Room, but it's definitely "Black Hot Room" 😅
Regis you should read the cards lol during that game you played stegron. The card says move it one location to the right it was never going to go to fisk tower.
I love Arishem :)
Thanks for the video and the deck. I'll be curious to see how they nerf Arishem, if they do. Fewer extra cards? Less extra energy per turn? It's tough to predict.
How would they give it less extra energy per turn? Half an energy? Lol
@@d.zuhdis.3275 No idea, but there's only so many dials you can turn on a card, and that's one of his biggest ones. Perhaps they can change it so you have seven energy on turn six or something like that; in the turns prior to that, you have the same amount as your opponent.
Fewer extra cards is a clear buff not a nerf. They could go the Hela route where the cards he generates have less power.
The cards shuffled into the deck are a weakness, not a strength. They'd probably increase it to 16 cards shuffled in or something.
@@Kolby3185 Definitely a good option.
At least you got lucky enough to get Mockingbird, Blob and Loki, i ain’t got any of them
Just waiting on Blob to appear in my spotlight chashes
You could have valkyried early and stopped their annihilus anyway, as well as lock them to 12 power right.
If i face this sort of deck i use a high evo hybrid with a pinch of bullshit to get the power decreases on joard and slap down luke cage and it usually wins
This will sound arrogant, but I promise - I'm not trying to sound arrogant, I'm only trying to educate:
This so-called "number one deck" gets easily defeated by the Dagger Clog deck I've been using.
I love how everyone is commenting about Arishem card nerfs and not about the guy who definitely isn’t drinking urine
I don't like playing Loki. Most of the time the cards in my hand were better than the ones I got from the opponent
@@philipweidig270 Quinjet is bad on its own? When it discounts half your deck at a base? Hmm
And Coulson, Cable, ect deal with point B
@@freddysweeper You already have extra energy, you don't need the discount to play your whole hand most games.
And with a 24 card deck, you need to play literally every card that generates cards to have a shot at seeing them consistently to fill your hand, and cards like Cable barely count because they often give you cheap cards.
The cards aren't good in Arishem unless you high roll, and are often bad. That's just how the game plays out.
It’s the MVP LEGION 🤩
As it turns out having +1 energy from the start of the game is good... and I don't think this game has enough bad cards to make +12 random cards be bad as often as it would need to be for +1 energy to not be worth it.
It’s only annoying because I’m playing against Arsham every single game. And there’s no strategy to counter it, it’s either have dark hawk or don’t have dark hawk….. sometimes I just auto retreat because I’m so sick of seeing that damn card
Would Darkhawk be the best replacement for Legion? Or just a tech card like Rogue or Enchantress? Cosmo? 🤔
Nothing can really beat Legion, his ability is so cool and unique. MAYBE scarlett since she can change a location.
What do y’all think an Arashem nerf would look like? Obviously the stats can’t get much worse? Should it shuffle it more junk? I think that would make darkhawk an even better counter.
Either more random cards added or starts in your hand or an extra ability that stops the cards from getting discount
nice video
They should treat Arishem's cards shuffled to your deck as "yours". At least quinjet wouldnt insta win your game on turn one
or
We just wait for Cassandra Nova(+Grandmaster)
I think that the best way to nerf this card is to make it pure random. The problem is the fact that you can still play most of your starting deck, so have his effect be this instead:
At the start of the game, +1 Max Energy.
@@d.zuhdis.3275
Card games also shouldn't have a card that puts you ahead on curve every single turn but here we are.
Nah I mean might as well make 1 card decks cz this is a shit change
Also you make me glad sd doesn't take our suggestions Well at least not all 😂
Yeah Arishem is DEFINITELY getting nerfed. Good cards never last
The rock has a variant !?!!?.
Arishem is not getting nerf. His supporting cards will most likely get nerfed.
loki needs to get gone and mockingbird
Alioth swap ideas?
Leech?
Anything. You're so unlikely to draw any particular card in Arishem that you can just play any good card; probably skew towards more expensive cards that don't need a lot of supporting pieces. Namora has been an all star for me.
i want to take this moment and clap back at the people that said cable doesn't make it into this deck when i asked if it was good.
I've literally not gotten over 73 with this deck. I'm just a terrible player clearly who should give up. Been playing since the start and never hit inifinate. It's so discouraging.
My variance must be shit. Went on a 5 game losing streak with this deck....
This card is definitely busted it’s extremely fun to play cause it’s not balanced you can beat it iv played a wong surfer deck and beat it iv played knull zola and beat it you can win against it cause there are weaknesses to it but the +1 energy is too much with the quin jet I feel it should give all the random cards more power instead to make it more fun to play against then being hit with a bunch of 6 and 5 drops a turn or 2 early
mockingbird alternative please!
Nerf the blob mystique interaction and i think arishem is in a much healthier space
Doctor Arishemapus, bwaaaaaah!
In blob we trust
I dont think I can go back from arishem. the extra energy just speeds up the game and they allow me to play cards ill prob never own.
I tryed this deck I lost more then win.
Hey Regis will you stream again anytime soon?
But you CAN move Blob now.
Don't got Arishem sadly 😢
Now I regret not picking up Arishem 😢
Me too. I tried, got 3 keys and it wasnt enough to get him. Now i can only try to counter those decks(but how?)
@Tinishai well I do have 12 keys now but as I'm just at CL5000 I need to be patient
Yes so i don't have Alioth OR Blob, kinda f*cked for this one but the deck seems so freakin strong
if you dont have blobe and legion what can you put in their place?
Lol hitting a 3 cost Coulson on 3 and saying it’s late because of Arishem 😂
can we stop nerfing fun cards and maybe make other cards fun aswell?
What can replace Alioth?
Been beating this deck left and right with High Evo, Gilgamesh 1 drops, Asgard decks, Tribunal. Great when you draw all your tech cards as you need them; but the randomness of it generally makes it fall to good structured synergy decks. Doc Ock on 4 is the only scary thing about this deck
I really don't like loki in arishem decks i never feel good about playing him. Like sometimes i only hit like 2-3 cards too
Another Easy Mode video >;)
I hate this deck so much. It's in 70% of my games.
Arishem is fine, Ive been enjoying playing a Mr negative shell with it, just another way to get neg out on t3.
It's the combo of quinjet, coulson and Loki that's making it busted. Blob mystique is also annoying but you don't even need to run that because everyone's playing Arishem so you just play scumbag Loki, get their mystique and blob and win.
... how the hell do you fix this card?? Maybe just -1 Cost on all the cards it generates?
Cassandra nova will be here in a few weeks, she'll do a fine enough job
Add series 3 cards that counter Arishem decks as well as Darkhawk and Cassandra Nova (pretty safe bet) while still standing on their own as respectable cards if your opponent isn't Arishem
dont have mockingbird, any swaps?
Rogue might be good to turn off morbius or shadow king vs silver surfer decks
Take out the +1 energy and Arishem would be more balanced. It’s just impossible to out tempo someone who starts the game with more energy. Also Loki probably needs a nerf too because cost reduction is so ridiculous. It’s frustrating because decks like Blackbolt and Junk got such heavy handed nerfs to multiple cards within those archetypes to the point where they aren’t even competitive anymore.
Lmao if arishem +1 energy is gone nobody would play him and same goes for loki altering his ability would make him trash
Removing the extra energy straight up kills the card and don't give me this crap about nerfing mana cheat cz it's still going crazy with cards like sera hope and Loki+quinjet.
nerf: you can only play 2 cards each turn
