Just completed this job, massive thank you for taking the time and effort to make this video, wouldn't have been able to tackle it without it.
Absolute pig of a job!! Approx two hours start to finish. I scored a line on the plastic side panel and popped it off, I wasnt bothered taking out the whole centre console.
Very tough job but the bucket and sheet idea certainly helped. Hands and arms scratched to hell and I've a feeling I'll be sore in the morning from all the twisting and turning!
Unfortunately it didn't resolve my issue, after all that!! 😢. The blower had been intermittent, and sometimes worked with a bit of a bang so I assumed motor, stuck in a new one and still nothing! Could have cried!! I'm hoping now it's the resistor, at least thats easy get to and if nothing else I have a new blower fan 😂

Well done and I'm glad the video helped it's a real pain huh. I would be 95% sure it's the resistor, they are cheap and easy to replace, let me know

@@GrooveOn problem sorted 👍 Just swapped out the old resistor for a new one and she's blowing good-oh now 😁
I found that I had to swap the plastic casing from the old resistor onto the new one as the aftermarket one was a tad too big.

Just finished replacing mine. This video is definitely the best resource to see how it's done properly. Getting the new one in was a bit of a struggle with that wiring loom at the top fouling the fan as you try to turn it but perseverance prevails.

Excellent "How to video". Really good.
Extra tip - Remove the clutch pedal first (as shown later in the video) Mine was impossible to remove without. Possibly due to a larger wiring loom in the way.

Great video, only one that i can find that is straight forward
Any idea what could cause weak airflow?
The blower has been changed and i can hear the speed go up and down when the buttons are pressed with a slight increase in airflow.
    Air filters changed
Possibly a blockage some where maybe, any tips to check this?

Hi, great video. I have to do mine, doesn't work at all. But I've got the wrong one - said on the website it fits my civic. I have 1.8 petrol. Do you have by any chance OE number for it? I'm in Ireland - right hand drive but on some doesn't say which one it is and I don't want to buy another wrong fan.

Hello, I have a problem with my "Heater Actuator". The thing (arm), that opens and closes, breaks for the second time in 6 mounts. I think that the mechanism moves really hard and the arm is just not that strong to move it, because when I move it with my hand from closed to opened it's kind of hard to do it. Or maybe something is wrong with the previous installation of the heater actuator. The part number is A24850A3710001, any suggestions what may be the problem? Thanks in advance!

    • @GrooveOn
      @GrooveOn  5 місяців тому

so the car-side vents are stiff to move and the A24850A3710001 actuator moves fine yes? Can you get into the car side movement and see if something is causing the stiffness, maybe corrosion . can you lubricate any item down there? silicon spray is good for plastics

hi there, I doubt the two are linked, the first thing to do is check the fuse to your de-mister window and the fuse to your blower fan. They are in the engine bay, Fuse 12 I think is for your rear de-mister and fuse 19 is for your blower.
