Thank you for presenting surviving sound footage from the 1928 WB Vitaphone Semi-talkie Tenderloin. It's too bad that most of this movie is lost in the Warners vaults because it would have been great to have heard the voices of Dolores Costello and Conrad Nagel as they sounded in the film, as experienced by the audience at that time. Sort of ground breaking for sure.
An estimated 90-95% of films made prior to 1930 are gone, rotted in their cans or burned to ashes in various studio fires. Nice to see a little bit of one restored. Some more may show up someday.
