Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, a member of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, was shot dead in Bandra, Mumbai. Six bullets were fired near his son Zeeshan's office, the MLA from Bandra East. Four bullets hit Siddique, and one of his aides was also wounded. The incident took place on Dussehra, just months before the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections. Two suspects have been arrested
