I can't believe more people aren't complaining about the last 3 plays more? You are in FG range, you simply run the ball three times, make Oregon use their time outs, and kick the FG! Why on Earth do you throw the ball 3 times, and don't even get me started on the clock management!

Yeah I was yelling about this we got down to like the fcking 35 or whatever it was before the penalties with what like 30-40 seconds on the clock and 1 timeout… throwing it down there is far to scary especially when we’re that close and only down by 1 point.. we atleast run the ball once get maybe a yard or 2 maybe 4 then let the clock run of Oregon doesn’t call a timeout then we do at like 4-5 seconds or so then kick a field goal.. and let that be it..
That was a damn good game but hurts the most is the kicker didn’t even get a chance to kick.. maybe we miss it maybe we make it we will never know cause the play calls at the end.. Ryan just said adding 5 more yards helps a field goal a lot.. and it’s like ffs man we’re at Ohio state if our kicker can’t kick a fcking 39-40 yarder or even then if we ran the ball once or twice there at the 35 it’s possible it could’ve been a 35yrd field goal.. sleeping last night was horrible and this was the first thing I remembered when I woke up.. will ran 5-7 yards to far and we never even got a chance to let the field goal guy kick.. fcking painful
I agree..we had the ball 1st and 10 on their 28 yard line. That's a 46 yard FG. If we run 3 times and make them use their TOs the game is over. That's assuming our PK can make a FG that's probably under 45 yards.@@TwhistyyHD

As a Buckeyes fan I said they would lose this game and it would be best thing for this team. They had everyone telling them how good they were and needed to be humbled. They will win the rematch. Got outplayed and outcoached. Anyone paying attention can see what speed and a good QB would do to this defense. Can not lose another game, ugh.
At this point, I’m infuriated. Ryan Day is holding us back. Whoever decided to call those plays at the end did a terrible job. Our defense was awful-the DBs played horribly, and the D-line wasn’t nearly as disruptive as it should have been. You can’t keep having all this talent and doing nothing with it. This is yet another season where we won’t win it all. Every year, Ryan Day folds under pressure. He needs to go.
You lose to Michigan three times and almost every top-5 opponent you play-that’s pathetic. With the amount of talent you’ve had, you should have at least one national championship by now. Ryan has to go. Now, we have to hope Oregon goes undefeated and we do too, just for a chance to avenge this loss. It’s unacceptable. You put all these players in the NFL but consistently accomplish nothing. Nobody cares that you beat nobodies. When it came time for your first real test, you fumbled the bag.
As far as I’m concerned, Ryan Day is a failure, and people need to stop defending him. He hasn’t done anything but win easy games.

The defense seemingly struggles over and over and over with getting pass rush with 4 DL and covering. I think it's past time to move on from Larry Johnson. And Knowles has been unimpressive in bigger games.

OSU defense was not good. No sacks, zero forced turnovers.
We put pressure on Gabriel and it worked and then didn’t do it again. We also saw success running straight up mid but kept doing sweeps. On top of that we got penalty after penalty in the first half. We clean these things up get Oregon at a neutral site next time and handle business

Buckeye fan here and we simply cannot play only 2-3 quarters! This habit of starting off slow and not doing anything until the second half is a bad thing. I thought the defense played pretty well however Burke played like 💩. I know players can have bad games however when you get knocked down you get back up. He never did and they continued to exploit him. I can handle this loss. It ain’t easy though. It was a tough loss for sure.

I like Day, but bitching about the OPI costing them the game is weak as. If they throw a pick on the first drive, that could have totally changed the dynamic of the whole game too. OSU is bloody good team, but they just got beat.

@@URRidikalus eh, I'm a ducks fan, that's not really my problem. He has built a bloody good roster though, and I like the style of play - they can push you around but also have had a string of freaks at WR. The sit down he did with Pate back in the offseason was a really interesting conversation.

The guy is blaming it on a single call at the end, when his team literally got first down that should have been an interception that ended up being a scoring drive.. plus an egregious dpi on his defense that didn’t get called that led to a punt.. buckeye fans should be embarrassed and ashamed this guy is leading the team

Exactly what I said. If you’re going to complaint about the offensive PI, then call out the refs for completely missing that pick by Oregon that led to OSU’s first score. It’s been 4yrs of underperforming, out-coached, and outplayed. Had OSU won this game by 2pts, I wouldn’t feel a BIT different. Turnovers, non-existence secondary, penalties….this was just disgusting. If I was a coach today, listening to what these entitled kids are demanding today via NIL… I wouldn’t pay them a dime if they played like that, and the team lost. The second those entitled, children cashed that NIL check and started getting wealthy playing college football, they lost their right claim that they’re “just kids still developing, not machines”. Buckeyes' Offense is average, and their QB is always looking to the right rarely to the center or to the left, that is telling Oregon Defense hey I am a right-side QB. He is not good. Defense is porous, ineffective, and their tackling is a joke. Play calling is bad. That is what you expect from Ryan Day's teams on big stages in crucial games, almost always losing. The way they played vs Oregon they may lose to Penn State, to even Indiana, and probably to Michigan

Im a Ducks fan and this was a hard game to watch. There was a lot if things on both side that could have pushed it either way. We had a big time defensive player not play. We had an absolute moron spit on someone, get ejected and throw his helmet just after making a big play. WTF! OSU had key people go down. I dont know if this is wierd or not but Im embarrassed about the spitting thing.

Btw, OSU is forbidden from complaining about officiating for the rest of the year. Clearly an interception by Bassa on your first TD drive. Clearly P.I. when you held Evan Stewart in the first half that took points off the board for the Ducks. Bad officiating is the only reason this wasn't a double digit Duck victory.
Should have run the ball and set up a field goal (for the win). Why throw and take a chance for turnover or penalty? I put it on coaching 100%. 1st down in field goal range with TO’s. Terrible play calling…and to add insult to injury OSU made me lose the last leg of a 7 leg parlay. $10 to win $230. Thanks a lot OSU.
