Great story I live on the Allegheny river and the Allegheny national forest is my backyard I have camped up there for the past 15 years or so and I have seen and heard some questionable things
I’ve been camping in the SE part of the ANF since ‘87. I have never seen one, but I’ve heard some things and had some weird experiences there. Especially at night. Not far from the Clarion.
The Allegheny river runs through our small (very) city. We're 15mins. away from the Pa. border. I have been through the Allegheny National Forest at night a few times. That place is mysterious. We were headed to Maryland , my daughter was driving. What I thought I saw for a fraction of a moment was a native American of days-gone-by just at the edge of the tree line. That could have been fall foliage hanging on but it was the month of May. I said "What The H*ll Was That??? Her response was" Some @#*%\@ trying to blind me with his high beams. She didn't notice what I did. After listening to this story, makes me wonder that I did infact see what I thought. Hmmmm?
Base Camp Chris Is one of the best aspects of the 2020’s. Just think, the ‘20’s were hard a century ago, & worse yet, we ain’t got no Charleston nor Flappers, but Chris ALWAYS puts many smiles on the faces of those who adore him!❤

Hey hi Chris. We have a little snow here too in Lockport Illinois. Love your stories. I was a Girl Scout when I was younger did some fishing with my dad up in Mercer Wisconsin and Silver Lake in Wisconsin Horseback riding in Texas at my aunt's house. Went to summer camp for a month up in Camp Watervliet Michigan we had campfires . These campfire stories based on others factual events brings me back to my years as a teenager. Not only are your stories so interesting, I love the forest backgrounds to different places you travel to. Keep the great stories coming.🌲🦉🌄
As I am living in the Rocky Mountains and in a forested area, these stories are making me very aware when I go out to feed the birds in the morning before sunrise. We have a tray feeder and, before putting in nuts and sunflower seeds, I often have to bang the trays against our deck railing to dislodge the snow. Bang bang like that. I'm suddenly wondering if one morning I'm going to get a reply from somewhere out in the woods. LOL Thank you, Chris. Love your stories!
I have been binge watching your shows, Chris. Who doesn’t love a Good story? Having said that my practical side says someone would come across a skeleton. Eventually…at least one Sasquatch skeleton. I’ve had myself a frightening scare but of the human kind. I really enjoyed these campfire stories. Thank You👏❤️
I admire your courage, stoicism to camp at night, through the night until sunrise . I binge watch your videos. The video most compelling,in my opinion and they're all compelling, was the one about the teenager in Arkansas trapped under the collapsed huge pile of logs and the huge Big 👣 that saved his life. Thank you again, your videos are amazing.
Another great story Chris! I really look forward to hearing these great tales out in the woods! And your choice of beer for the story too! Please be safe in the woods alone . It's great to see how many people have subscribed to your channel Take care, Liz from Ontario, Canada
Hi Chris I'm glad you posted I've been waiting for a good story I really enjoy the storytelling this is awesome and you got a special knack for telling stories .you feel like your right there in the story keep up the awesome content I'm addicted to it
Wow that was a crazy story. Sounds like it scared the crap out of those hunter. I know it would scare me. Thanks again Chris for another great! Take care and keep sharing the stories.
I haven't been in the Plumas Nt'l Forest in a very long time. Used to camp at Last Chance Creek before my husband passed away 10 years ago. Enjoy your time there!
Growing up in PA I've solo camped, hunted, and fished in the Allegheny National Forest a lot. Never had any encounters with a Sasquatch but you never know. I believe they're out there. There's a bigfoot festival this spring I plan on attending in the town of Marienville. it Should be fun!
I live in southern Ohio. I'm going to one in West Virginia this summer. I'm planning a visit to the museum before that too. I went to the skunk ape research center in the everglades a couple of weeks ago.
@@astro-blaster4190 Cool! I'm looking forward to it. I spent most of my time in the Westline area. I knew a lot of old timers and locals and nobody has ever mentioned any encounters. That doesn't mean they haven't had one. My dad and his friends probably wouldn't have said anything if they did. This story told by Chris reminds me of the terrain and fire roads in and out of Westline. Even the creeks that follow the roads.
PA is known for sightings of bigfoot. You can go into highway stores and there is always some bigfoot item there to purchase. Bigfoot seems to be familiar to the locals. Thanks Chris for another great story. ☺

Another great video from you Chris, life has been really difficult for me for a longtime now but your videos brighten up my days and helps me forget things for a short while. Keep up the good work.
Glad it's getting warmer where you are, we are having another really cold snap here. We just need to get through Feb and maybe spring will make it's way here. We have had snow over a foot on the ground since Halloween. It's been a long winter it seems like, thanks for the stories. Can't wait to see the camper out! Have a good night.

@@JovandogI do not doubt your experience, as I've lived in the deep woods of Pennsylvania my whole life. You'd be surprised what these bear can do when they want to.
