- Among the best features of the Lincoln MKX is its top-of-the-line sound system by Revel. Working closely with the automaker, they engineered the arrangement of speakers for the best possible experience and integrated technology that makes even really bad audio sound premium.

We purchased the 2016 MKX(Black Label) in Chrome Quartz 2 months ago after test driving MDX, Mercedes, Lexus RX, Infinite and I kept coming back to the MKX after much deliberation. It drives like a dream... is the quietest and most enjoyable ride of them all, this coming from a Lexus owner 4x over. The new RX style just did not grow on me regrettably.
Our MKX came with the new Sync3 which I find very easy to use and very receptive. We are especially enjoying the Revel 19 speaker surround sound system...it rivals the Mark Levinson sound system. If you want a quiet ride with NO road noise and a soft ride the MKX is the one. My husband is 6'7" and he found this the most comfortable of all the 2 seater SUV's. All in all we are very pleased with the MKX...the "Black Label" is a step above in its accouterments.
it's actually that good. I have to agree. sadly I could only afford the standard 10 speaker system but i did have a loaner with that specific system and i was blown.
19 speakers, good lord. I have 9 with the Bose in my car and I thought THAT was a lot. I mean you only really need 2, right? 😂😂
Revel part of the Harman Group is doing much for us Audiophiles. Been watching Revel for years, and love their products. Makes sense in the car too. With advance in DSP and other tech, why not? I am not totally sold on Burmester as much though. Nice, but pricey. The Bowers and Wilkins systems are quite well done too. It is more than the sum of the parts, but the implementation of same. These are the best of times when it is done well.
I'm surprised you are trying to pass this off as a 2017. The 2017 has Sync 3 and the car in this video has My Lincoln Touch. I'm not sure if I'll ever trust you again.
Is this an advertisement or something? I remember that Autoguide were less like a car salesmen but rather a true car enthusiast
I think the point of Feature Focus is to talk about noteworthy features on cars that they like. So it's more saying a particular part of a car is very good.
Isn't quantum logic the same as DSP technology that was utilized on many single din unit additions on Pioneer units? Specifically, the Pioneer DEX-P99(head unit) and Pioneer DEQ-9200(equalizer with separate processing module)?
I won't be rude and link in your video Craig, but just do a search here for Real World Review: Revel Audio Test 2016 Lincoln MKX and you can get an idea of the sound of the sound system
is it better than the Audi A8 B&O Sound System or the Harmon Kardon, or Burmester from Porsche ?
Thanks Craig. How does Revel compare to Mark Levinson on Lexus?
Every bit as good if not just a touch better.
How could you say that this car is ugly?!
Lincolns with the Revel Ultima system in them are few and far between here in NC. Must have sent them all to states with more refined tastes (maybe an HB-2 boycott) :D
Craig, I love your reviews. The beginning of your original MKX review was a hoot. Unfortunately, I was familiar with all of your references. I have owned a 2016 MKX with the Revel Ultima for about 2 months. It sounds awesome on everything but satellite radio. SiriusXM is unlistenable. It is garbled whether transmitting voices or instruments. I know the signal is highly compressed, but thought Clari-Fi was supposed to fix it, not make it worse. However, my MKX has Sync 3, not the old system. Did you notice any problems with satellite radio when doing this video?
I own the MKX with the Revel system and have had NO problems with Satellite?
I have owned 3 ford fusions with Xmas radio. It is hooked up wrong and ford knows it Do you remember cd changers in the trunk, it’s hooked up like those use to be and they sounded bad. Go cars sound much better with Xmas. I stopped paying for it
A sound test other than 2 seconds long would have been much better.
How much should i offer for Reserve 2017? They are askink 23997 for some reason went up after 250 days on cargurus after i was asking questions from 22183
Why is this in my subscriptions?

Hmmm. I'm 64 years old. I have a 2008 MKX with 98K miles on it. I could care less about the radio sound. There's not going to be any 20 yr old beboppers lookin to buy a MKX right?
When you stop being a music lover, your soul dies....
Ah...but I am an audiophile and I love the sound system.
Revel by harman
lol that's not a 2017 model because it still has mylincolntouch. 2017 have sync 3
bullshit
its a 2037
He said it was a 2016
garbage advertising.
Please stick to car reviews. Audiophiles are laughing at you including me. NO stock system sounds anywhere as good as a custom install. From the review it is clear you know nothing about audio systems. Please stop
Well this one is extremely enjoyable and better then most.
