Spent two Christmases ago in the highlands at Ballater and Balmoral and around and it was magical both in summer and in winter with a blizzard. I had tea in our late Queen's train carriage and loved the village and the church where she had her Christmases and where she spent her last days. I walked for hours along the Dee river.... How wonderful a real shortbread is with a good cuppa. Thanks Mary and guests for bringing back such wonderful memories. Scotland is in my 💜.
If someone really made ne feel the spirit and coziness its u every thing the decorations the snow the place the warmth of the kitchen the food dessert so Christmas u can actually feel the coziness and warmth of the holidays in a happy way lovely ❤❤
I’m 67 & have never been either, & have a bit of Scotland ancestry - it’s top of my list even if it means flying as far north as I can go (Inverness), staying one night then returning! ❤ 🏴❤
Oh I made the Marangue and disaster struck. Everything was perfect at every stage of the making and baking ; except, that when It was cooling, it started to ozze a clear and runny sticky sweet goo! I hadnt even had time to take it off the grease proof paper when I saw this pool of sticky goo in the center. AH! So will turn this in to Eaton Mess. And next time leave out the cornflower and vinagar mix. Not needed. But great fun regardless.
I used to really enjoy Christmas cookery programmes, but they're all over produced and rather mawkish now, with added diversity for extra seasonal misery. I will instead go farther back in time for my Yuletide TV treats, you can keep all this modern stuff, even if it is with an octogenarian!
Nothing wrong with speaking beautiful English! And if you cringe at her Scottish accent (well done to her for putting herself out there) remember you are mocking your own since she is half Scottish 🏴
Thank you .. Merry Christmas to you too ❤❤❤
Miss Berry, I wish I could adopt you as my granny. I've never had one. You are one very special lady. Thank you for sharing all your lovely food
She can adopt me too ❤

From Australia. Thank you so much!
Andy's such a well - mannered, polite guy.
Oh Mary wish I was as active as you are, I’m 74 but suffer terribly with bad legs. I want to go to Scotland and have never been. Looks beautiful.

I know Mary Berry's lovely. But Andy Murray is adorable in this, isn't he? ❤
Andy's adorable whatever he does. He's an absolute legend - on and off the court.

I love you, Iain Stirling and Mary
Do you know that Christmas Day was an ordinary working- day in Scotland until 1958, when it was made a public holiday?
Love ANDY’s GRANNY!!❤️
I like Andy's granny as well. She seems a really nice, kindly woman.
🤩
KRALJICE❤
Made the highland pie. Massive hit in household
How does she eat sugar and be beautifully slim?!!!!
Because it's all about the balance - you can eat whatever you want, just don't overstuff yourself and keep your body moving.
Pigs in blankets as left overs lol not in my house
Omg. I thought she was dead.

Makes me cringe the way Mary puts on her Scottish accent..as normally she speaks with an overly posh accent.. 🤨
Timestamp 25:11 just to the right of centre there’s a brussel sprout with a man-in-the-moon face! 😂

She's with a comedian, he's used to acting silly, so she is too.
It's just fun 😅
