      As American born and raised in the US territory (Puerto Rico) the people in US mainland are more unsecure and have personal complexes if they don't know something or someone speaking another language nearby. That's one of the reason many of them don't know much of other things in life, languages or different countries.

      Really???.... To me Trudeau sounds like someone who doesn't agree with the person across the room from him but knows full well to "stay in his lane" and play ball. The US is calling the shots here and Trudeau is along for the ride. A cross boarder program for women sounds like a way to improve Trump's relations with his most contentious major demo, pipelines (though I'm not in disagreement) sounds like a Trump platform, boarder security I don't think is an issue that Canadians have (it sounds more like a US issue). This is one of the few times I recall hearing Trudeau talking about keeping Canadians safe, I don't think this was part of the Canadian agenda. The issue for Canadians is that we don't get economically nailed by renegotiating NAFTA and the Americans told us "play ball" and we'll be REALLY good to you.

      Except Trump isn't doing that. His executive order prevented green card holders and even citizens from re-entering the country, which divided families... and his White House staff is riddled with scandals and possible treason. HOW is that cracking down on criminals??? I understand that you want Canada to remain protected but asking Trudeau to take a page from Trump's book would just be a disaster. Trump should never be an example to follow.

    Trudeau doesn't make me feel secure about the future of Canada at all. I am not anti-immigration, however it would be good if we could concentrate on providing a solid economy for Canadians before inviting the world to live here. It's great to have empathy for other people but what about taking care of the people who live here already? We have child poverty and issues that get pushed aside as we lend a hand to everyone else. It's also harsh that women are made to sound like victims in the business world both in the US and Canada.... I think life is pretty good for most women in both countries. What I wish could happen is that women could have the choice to be Mothers and that they would be supported in that role as much as they are pushed into being in the business role. Since it takes a double income to survive, no one is able to be parents anymore....which in my opinion is the most important job in the world.

    WHERE IS THE COMPARISON? These comments are so biased and brainless.

    • @blue3katrin
      @blue3katrin 7 років тому +4

      So successful that he refuses to release his tax returns because everyone will see how indebted he is to Russian investors, which (among other things) could lead to his impeachment. Oh and a businessman filing for bankruptcy to avoid paying tax doesn't make him/her successful, it makes them a tax-dodger... the same way Trump is a draft dodger (in other words, a total coward).
      At least drama teachers encourage students to open their minds, which is the opposite of anything Trump will ever do (with the possible exception of inadvertently pushing citizens to learn more about their human rights and take to the streets in protest).

    "The full power of women, can do better than anybody else." What is this sexist rhetoric?
    It's sexist to say men are better and it's sexist to say women are better. "Women" cannot "do it better than anybody else" (all men) INDIVIDUALS prove their worth and outcompete other individuals.
    I don't like benevolent sexism disguised as feminism. We don't help women by patronizing them or exaggerating their sense of self worth. We help them by treating them the same.
    Why is Trump suggesting that women don't have equal access to capital, markets and networks? Sounds like someone's been filling his ear with the "equality of outcome" nonsense of Justin Trudeau's brand of modern feminism. Equality of opportunity cannot exist simultaneously with a pursuit for equality of outcome and the latter is not a goal worth striving for. How many penises and vaginas we have in any given occupation (or cabinet) is not a worthy pursuit of our time.

      MrAdy0207 Usually you should think about the actions you're going to do and value pros and cons before you do something (especially as President of the US). And here's Trump's biggest problem: By not doing so as I just mentioned, he can't foresee the people's opinions/reactions and gets in in trouble with courts etc.

    Don't think I ever once heard Trudeau mention the poor working class at all. He's always talking "middle class, middle class."

    • @virtuitousvampire9371
      @virtuitousvampire9371 7 років тому +2

      Greg B. Because unlike America we don't have a high to low class. Poor is not as poor, Rich are not as rich. The vast majority is middle class and we also have a much better social net in place for lower class. This is also was not about the infrastructure of Canada's economy, this was about trade. And trade is about middle class jobs, not the poor. Talk about it when Justin comes home from the ghetto!

    • @LoneCloudHopper
      @LoneCloudHopper 7 років тому +1

      Boy are you wrong! I am poor working class and have been most of my working life. Believe me, there are big and obvious differences between the two. "Middle" means just that, those who are not poor but not wealthy. There are so many hard working Canadians who cannot afford vehicles (or safe ones,) concert tickets, nice clothes, etc. etc. It's our job to make the rich richer. We do not have diplomas or union jobs. We just work our asses off for very little pay. This is the reality for many Canadians and it is a very rough and unfair way to live. The ignorance of middle class (esp upper middle class) Canadians annoys me. Everything in the media is geared towards the middle and upper class. We truly are a silent majority in this country as well.
