Hi Andrew, this is wonderful and as a professional oboe reed maker, I can agree that it makes everything easier and more satisfying to know a few things about the player who will receive my hand-made reeds. Luckily, I seem to have missed whatever social media excitement that motivated your making this film. Cheers to all the brave souls who dare to make and sell and send reeds to some of the most demanding clients there ever could be! I say this with respect and admiration for those discerning musicians who trust us to fashion what will become their voice, hopefully a true and authentic one! May these musicians know the power of communicating with us about their needs and desires.
Excellent video my friend, spot on. I immigrated to Spain 30 years ago and people communicate differently. I actually often feel like a “Mid- Atlantic” citizen, both understanding and misunderstanding. The other point is written communication can be easily misinterpreted, even between friends, so being polite and succinct is the best.
