  • This is round 5 of the 2002 Chevy Trucks 125cc AMA Motocross Championship from Budds Creek Motocross Park in Budds Creek, MD. This is the 2nd of only 6 125cc Motocross races from 2002 that I have.
Returning 125cc contenders like rookies Billy Laninovich, James "Bubba" Stewart, Eric Sorby, and (125cc East SX champ) Chad Reed, former 250cc riders Larry Ward, Damon Huffman, and 5-time Arenacross champ Buddy Antunez, 125cc sophomores Grant Langston and Steve Boniface, Branden Jesseman, Greg Schnell, Brock Sellards, 250cc Supercross rider Ernesto Fonseca, Michael Byrne, 125cc West SX champ Travis Preston, Chris Gosselaar, Matt Walker, and defending champ Mike Brown battle it out for the 2002 Chevy Trucks 125cc AMA Motocross Championship. This is Chad Reed's lone full season, and Ernesto Fonseca's last season in the 125cc class. (The recently retired) Ben Townley races here in the states aboard a KTM and finishes in the top 10 in moto #2. Defending champ Mike Brown drops out of the series after no points on the day.
    Enjoy.
NOTE: The 125cc races from Washougal, Millville, Binghamton, and Steel City are already posted on my channel, but I'll be redoing the Washougal and Steel City rounds into one whole video; the original videos I posted will likely not go anywhere.

You're welcome. Hope you've seen some of my races from other seasons I've posted. Most of my races after 2009 are no longer up due to FELD.

Remember all of this season like it was yesterday. The great years of ama in my opinion

No disagreements there on the great years of AMA Motocross. RC certainly did the unthinkable and the impossible (at least to some people at the time).

He was unstoppable. And to see bubba racing his first sx and mx pro championships was unforgettable 👌

@@jamesberner5248 True, it was. He certainly proved he'd learned his lesson after he gave away the 2002 125 West SX title because of his wishy-washy riding.

The producers of those races James' first year in the nationals did a disservice the moto community and the world. Younsaw James for a turn or two at the beginning of the race and on the last lap. That was a travesty.

Disservice??? I disagree 100%. Viewers don't want to watch one rookie run away with moto wins -- we wanna see battles between people be it for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Why the fuck is the quality so bad?!?! I remember starting to watch this and the gp's at the same time. Us moto took about 10 years to catch up!

They used different lenses and cameras etc. I always use to think the se thing, whenever I watched ama it always looked so humid on screen even if it was raining. Yet in the gp's it looked more distinctive
