Yea I agree. Why not just buy actual packs from those years. Repack most cards that aren’t worth anything. You mike a few decent cards. Not worth it to me if someone is placing the cards in there. They could choose to stiff you
But if you saw it than it didn’t get passed. Just cause he didn’t say anything about it. Card has no value that’s why he didn’t say anything about it. He’s not going to comment on every card.
@@DeepInfernoRising do some research before you come off sounding anymore ignorant . 1970 Topps card # 198 has decent value to quite a few people, just check ebay sold listings. Next time maybe try putting an argument to something you actually know about.
6:28 You blow right past a 1971 Chuck Tanner high number SP card. In that shape that card runs at least $5 which is considerably more than a raw Jack Morris rookie. You need to remember, before 1974 the series of the card can be more important than if the card is a rookie.
The 1975 Hank Aaron card has sold raw for less than $30 and the 1978 Jack Morris for far less. Not a single box came close to the cost. As usual Erik your knowledge and delivery made this a very interesting video.
You forgot to mention the Eddie Murray 1978 Topps Rookie Card as a good Iconic card from the 1970's era. I used to have that 1972 Billy Martin card where he was flipping the bird off his bat. I was too young to realize what he was doing tell you mentioned something about that a long time ago. I Love Watching These Old Pack Openings, Keep Up The Great Video Content!!!
I am so glad you buy this stuff Jabs, because I would be so mad with myself if I spent money on this lol. I am totally with the nostalgia but noway are you finding great stuff in repacks
Money is not the only reason you collect there are a number of hall of famers 19701971,1972 came in different series usually seven and these cards are in good shape
The late Ray Fosse’s career wasn’t ended by the All Star collision with Pete Rose. He played for nine more seasons. And the Pirates actually beat the Orioles in the 71 series.
many of us know Pedro Borbon from a voiceover in Airplane! "Pinch hitting for Pedro Borbon, Manny Mota...Mota", though Borbon & Mota never played on the same team. After Borbon passed away, his son said that his father often talked about the movie reference: “A lot of people remember him by that. He liked that.”
Very cool and fun to watch! One note: the video narrator states Ray Fosse's career was ended when he was blown up by Pete Rose in the 1970 all-star game. Fosse was never the same after that, but he played another 7 seasons (695 games). There's a lot of baseball history misinformation bandied about by well-intentioned folks.
Hey Jabs look at those early 70 cards the high number cards are higher priced than some of the Stars really just a little after thought thanks for the video keep up the awesome work
He passed up a '70 Jim Kaat like it was nothing (I'm sure he noticed by now)........ Oops, Kaat wasn't a HOFer at this time, my bad. Still a notable player though, no mention.
These were the cards of my youth. But I would rather pay and open Topps Archives with the same designs. As P.T. Barnum is noted saying "There's a sucker born every minute."
There are some high # cards in the 1972 set, that have a little bit of value, also. Steve Garvey and Rod Carew are the main ones! The 1971 Steve Garvey Rookie is a nice card, also. 👍
Lots of nice high numbers from 1970-73, but apparently the person opening these does not understand that. Some of those 1971 SP commons sell for several dollars. The 1970 Jim Kaat (a HOF player) and High Number 1970 Mickey Lolich sell for more than some of the other cards he sleeved.
Wow, 100 boxes at $120 per box. Dude grosses 12 grand selling his commons with some off center stars and dinged stars. Genius!
I need to get my old 70's stuff and repack them.
😂😂😂😂
you arent lying
Yup...I suspect nobody found any of the major cards in good shape
@@goods5119 who's to say many of the major high dollar cards even made it into the box 😂
the packaging is beautiful and i get the nostalgia and everything, but in terms of value these seem to be pretty much garbage.
GO BRUINS!
Couldn't agree more. Worthless
Kinda agree. For the most part the condition looks excellent. If any should be PSA 10 that's should be good for a few bucks.
Yea I agree. Why not just buy actual packs from those years. Repack most cards that aren’t worth anything. You mike a few decent cards. Not worth it to me if someone is placing the cards in there. They could choose to stiff you
I agree no one wants this crap
18:27 passed a Mets Celebrate featuring Nolan Ryan from 1970. A great card!
Didn’t “pass it” because you saw it.
except, yeah, it did get passed.
But if you saw it than it didn’t get passed. Just cause he didn’t say anything about it. Card has no value that’s why he didn’t say anything about it. He’s not going to comment on every card.
@@DeepInfernoRising why do some of you little punks have to be so argumentative? Nothing better to do?

Love this wax collection from my era of collecting. Thanks for sharing!
Great way to get rid of your off center star and rookie cards.
The best thing about this is remembering how much fun it was collecting these cards back in the 1970s.
I've actually had a couple different people argue with me over Hank Aaron...."he didn't play for Milwaukee he played for the Braves" lol
I know right ;) some people are just so ignorant :D
He was the best Quarterback the Penguins ever had!
@@PositivePokemonPlayers :D

Did you not see Nolan Ryan on the 3rd box in the 1970 word series card?
16:17 My new favorite baseball name: Johnny Wockenfuss
You pulled Hank Aaron, Al Downing, and Tom House cards. Hank hit #715, Al gave up #715, and Tom caught #715 in the bullpen.

That was a fun watch
Great video Jabs !!!
I like the 1971 Topps cards, but my favorite is 75. The 1975 Topps baseball cards look the very best of all sets. Visual pop and nice layout.
Nice! The most awesome commons I’ve ever seen.
I am so glad you buy this stuff Jabs, because I would be so mad with myself if I spent money on this lol. I am totally with the nostalgia but noway are you finding great stuff in repacks
He dont buy it, his subscribers do...jabs pays little outof pocket for product...hes a breaker.
Very nice product. Thanks for breaking it Erik.
Awesome break nice cards the Ryan cards and the hank Aaron very nice
I love these guys. They do such a good job putting these together
You missed a card With Ernie Banks at 6:24
Thanks for a nice box Jabs. :-)
I am a graphic designer. I love that retro design. Very eye popping color scheme.
Like the early 70s high numbers - a few from 72 and a Lolich from 70 - I just had to find one to upgrade my set and they don't come cheap....
Any Blue Jays cards from 77 made Canadians like me a 10 year old boy in grade 6 feel like a American.
Ernie Banks is on the 1973 Chicago Cubs Team card as a coach.
Money is not the only reason you collect there are a number of hall of famers 19701971,1972 came in different series usually seven and these cards are in good shape
Can't wait
Love your vids
I always liked the Nolan Ryan at 18:26. That kinda stuff rounds out a collection.
How mutch was the Arron and Ryan cards worth or what was the expensivest card in ther
If you are wondering how this is made, they have their own UA-cam channel called repacked wax
I love that Frank Duffy card, that screams the 1970s !!! 👍🏽👍🏽
On the 75 Cubs card, why is the face of the player, top row, far right 'whited' out? Who is it? Searched online this morn, no luck 😢😮
The late Ray Fosse’s career wasn’t ended by the All Star collision with Pete Rose. He played for nine more seasons. And the Pirates actually beat the Orioles in the 71 series.
I pulled 2 mantles from repack wax regular boxes. One was a post cereal cut out mantle and a sports magazine Allstars mantle also.

No love for Jose Cruuuuuuuz. He was my favorite growing up in the 80s in Houston.
Nice opening!!!
Definitely a gamble buying those
Have a 1970 Topps Steve Blass. Nearly perfect condition; of hundreds of early 70's cards, one of the few ⚾
Pretty cool set - thanks Jabs! 👍🏻😁
how much was each box? looks like the value on all 3 boxes were about $20
Def had that Aaron card as a kid 25 plus years ago. Memories !
Got overexcited each time I saw an Expos card (or Bill Lee).
Steve Rogers was an awesome one, and Bill Stoneman at the beggining.
Steve Rogers was a great pitcher, he just doesn’t get respect
Love some vintage.
There was a 70 Topps Nolan Ryan in the last box.
Love vintage cards
Yes!
Tug McGraw is the dad of Country Music Superstar Tim McGraw
91 Upper Deck baseball is skyrocketing because the Jordan SP card is now $2,000 in a PSA 10.
Nice dinged up commons.

awesome vid keep up thegood work
This product is the best
Wayne Twitchell was actually a pretty decent pitcher for the Phillies... sigh, and it's Vic Dav-a-lee-oh, for pronunciation. I'm old!
They have a youtube channel and they have a video showing how they make packs
Bob Montgomery last person not to wear a batting helmet.
It is snowing at my house and great video erik
I WAITED ALL DAY FOR THIS ONE!!! J/P
These have to be reprinted right?
Pretty cool product
That 78 Yount looks like a PSA 9, possible 10!
Hey Jabs look at those early 70 cards the high number cards are higher priced than some of the Stars really just a little after thought thanks for the video keep up the awesome work
Great new product, 3 days till release of series one and 2 till the topps rip party
Only thing missing is the team manager cards 🥱😂

Real nice hammering hank R.I.P a true legend sad to see him pass
Pirates won the world series in 1971
I guess I don’t have the same appreciation for collecting that some others have.
Love that Yount card
This looks like it would be a fun RIP, but only if each box was like 50 bucks, also the checklist in a repackaged pack are a big turnoff.
That Greg Minton card is epic as he is orange
Mickey Lolich told me in 2011 that Cesar Tovar was a hitter he could never get out.
The spacer cards are actually stickers
Love that jack Morris rookie cArd
some of the 72 cards are high numbers... but he blew on through those
I ordered a box of 500 mixed vintage cards and was really duped when I saw that all the 1969 and 1970 topps were heratige!🤨🤨🤨
The Pirates beat the Orioles 4 games to 3 in 1971.
BOOM
I can't believe you're from western pa. and know who won the 71 world series.
Had a 1970 Topps Jim Palmer and 1971 Topps Nolan Ryan. . . . both defaced--Palmer on the arm, Ryan on his ear; otherwise NM cond., I believe 😫

I was hoping you'd pull a mike schmidt rookie

Davalillo 72 is a high number.
Hey Jabs just giving you an FYI....Luis Pujols and Albert Pujols are indeed cousins
Ron Bloomberg was the first ever DH (Yankees).
Poor Ray Fosse. Had a solid career (10 years, 2 time All-Star)but only remembered for getting blown up!
dudes naming off all these rookie cards like your going to find any in these packs of commons.
best youtube channel ever
Awesome video!!!
10th
73 Michael jack?
OMG
And I can’t sell my 23 card repacks of 90’s NBA HOF AND STARS packs with no commons for $15 lol
