Note** When referring to species in a herd, there are 6 species. Small herbivores (anklyosaurus), medium herbivores (triceratops), large herbivores (apatosaurus), small carnivores (velociraptor), medium carnivores (carnotaurus), and large carnivores (tyrannosaurus rex).

Great overview and review.
This game is a so-so for me unfortunately, for one thing I'm not the biggest fan of tile placement games. Now Sail, one of the other games, is much more to my liking, and maybe the auction game too. The fourth game I know nothing about so can't comment.

Question: The Starting tile:
Do you get to choose which side you want to use it as or does it need to start off on the tile side?
According to the draft rulebook for Chomp (link on their KS page) there are solo rules so this game would be for 1-4 players not 2-4. That definitely makes me more likely to get it. I like the art on this one and the quick rules teach.

Looks interesting! The memory part of seeing the dino on the back in the deck, which then becomes a goal before becoming the dino again seems like it could be quite the puzzle.

Fantastic video Jenna. However I think you might have misinterpreted the herd rule. There are actually 6 species of Dinosaurs, not just 2. These being small, medium and large herbivores, and small, medium and large carnivores. So in your example at 4:54, the big range of various herbivores aren't actually 1 herd, but actually many different herds based on the same size animals being adjacent to each other. So in that example only the 2 large herbivores that are together in a herd are fed by the plants, while the herds of the medium herbivores and the small dinosaurs would not be fed. They're all different species, so not the same herd.
That makes more sense because I was thinking that it looks really easy to complete one giant herd and score a lot of points. (P.S. Just checked the draft rulebook for the game, which their KS page links to, and yes, there are six species in the game.)

Chomp is the one I am most likely to get out of the four listed. I wish I could back them all.
