Would you kindly suggest the route to cover these places: -fushimi inari -kiyomizu dera temple -yasaka dori -arashiyama bamboo groove Will be departing from nankai namba station :)
Hi! I think the Keihan line is better. First of all, follow the route the video down below shows. @@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan thank you so much for guiding, this is a very helpful. Can i know from nankai namba to kyoto, the shinkansen compare to keihan journey time is almost the same, but the price is double/triple - is this true
Yes. It's true, so few people use shinkansen to travel from Shin-osaka to Kyoto since the distance between Shin-Osaka and Kyoto is too short to use the Shinkansen. In addition, there are several less expensive and fast ways such as the Keihan, Hankyu and JR lines.

Thanks for very informative video Shiba-san.. I have a question, seeing there's many type of train there (local, semi express, sub express, express, rapid express, limited express, and rapid limited express), is 'how to buy the ticket' for all those type of train the same? because I don't see the option to choose for local/rapid/limited etc on the ticket vending machine..
Hello! In Kansai, the Hankyu, Keihan, Hanshin and Sanyo railway companies do not require express fares. This means that both limited express and other fares are the same. Therefore, when purchasing a ticket, there is no option for train types such as local, rapid or limited express. If you have any further questions, please feel free to comment.

@ thank you for the response. I will be staying near namba osaka station so it seems like easier to get onto the hankyu line correct?
@@shariereyes2454 Yes. It is also cheaper to use the Hankyu than the Shinkansen.😊
@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan got it, thanks again for the explanation
You’re very welcome.😊✨
I plan to kyoto on 5 may sat golden week to kyoto for 3 days. Pls advise if feasible to travel to kyoto during golden week. Thank you
Hi! It is possible to get to Kyoto even during the "Golden Week." However, it may be best to avoid using buses in Kyoto because the roads are very busy.
Hi shiba san may i know the famous bamboo forest you need to get down in saga arashiyama or arashiyama (hankyu line ) ?
Thank you for your comment. Both stations are convenient to get there. Saga-Arashiyama Station is closer, but from Hankyu Arashiyama Station, you can cross the beautiful biride called Togetsukyo to reach the bamboo grove.
@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan Thanks for the reply ! I may take the train to hankyu arahiyama for next visit to kyoto then .
My pleasure. Please feel free to comment again.😊
Tjank you! Pls advise if luggages allowed on train? How to travel from namba station to kyoto.
Hi!
Large items of luggage, such as suitcases, can be carried on board the train.
Nakai Rapi:t has a luggage strage. See the link below for details.

To go to Kyoto, I often use the KEIHAN Line or SHINKANSEN.

Hello Shiba-san! It's me again. Just want to know your top 3 sites that I must visit in Kyoto. I have a companion who could not walk for long distances so I want to know your thought about those places that are not far from each other. Again, I stayed near to Ebisucho station in Namba minami, what train line should I take going to Kyoto? TIA!
OK. I'll think of a good plan. Please wait.
@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan thank you for taking time to reply 😇
Hi. How about visiting Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi-Inari and Byodoin? The KEIHAN line covers these three places and they offer special sightseeing passes for visitors to Japan. See the link for details.

@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan hello Shiba. Glad you have provided this route. Gonna try this if we have time. On the other hand, we're planning just to take the sightseeing train from Osaka to Kyoto and then just explore the Train museum in Kyoto and the imperial palace if the stairs are not that high 😀. Thank you again.
That’s nice! I love Kyoto Railway Museum!😁
Hi, would you tell us when is the least crowded time to visit kyoto?
Hello. Recently, more and more travelers visit Kyoto. Expect early in the morining, it is very crowded, so patience is necessary. Buses are convenient but time-consuming, so it is better to go around the places that can be reached by train.
Hi Shiba-shiba san. Can i know the ways to transfer from kiyomizudera temple to kyoto station. Thank you.
Hi! How about this route? It's the easiest way.

This bus arrives in front of Kyoto station, however to avoid a congestion hot sopt you might want to get off at Karasuma-shichijo bus stop and walk to Kyoto station.

Can I use Icoca card for all trips?
@@SharonOng-e9z Yes, you can.😊✨
Thank you for your prompt reply. By the way, Icoca card is also accepted for Nankai airport express train?
Yes. You can use ICOCA.😊
Is it cheaper to buy tickets every ride or to have the "pass".
I don't know what pass to get and i'm confused
Hi! I don't think you need to purchase the "pass" ticket. The train fare in Osaka and Kyoto areas is not so expensive. For example, the fare between Umeda and Arashiyama stations is only 410 JPY.😊
@@Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan thank you so much shiba-shiba san. ☺️
You're very welcome. Having an IC card such as ICOCA saves the hassle of buying a ticket at each station.

This video is absolutely ridiculous. In other words, I arrive at Umeda Station, consult an unreadable map and, as if by magic, I discover that for Kyoto, I have to buy a 400 yen ticket. After that I didn't watch anything else in the video. I was enlightened! Very intuitive and easy.... Mr Shiba, for a foreigner, your video is simply... useless
Thank you so much for watching this useless video to the end. There is one point in your comment that concerns me. What makes it ‘very intuitive and easy’? Please elaborate.
