I heard this song in the film version of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (I borrowed a DVD of the film from the library over a year or two ago), but I first heard it many years ago (when I was a boy) on a TV kids' series called "Wonderama," in which it wasn't sung as a duet, but as a solo performance by a man with a British accent. Has anyone out there ever heard that version? Was it on a record or something?
