Actually there is a real life example of how Clark Kent gets away with no one suspecting he is Superman. First Superman publically came out and said he is an Alien from Krypton who's real name is Kal El. No one is going to suspect "human" from Smallville Kansas is Kryptonian named Kal El who is also Superman. Now for the real life example of how this works. Charlie Chaplin was known to enter Charlie Chaplin look a like competitions and he would lose. Because the judges running the event would never suspect that the actual Charlie Chaplin would enter a Charlie Chaplin look a like competition. So they would actually critique Charlie and give him advice on how he could look more like Charlie Chaplin. If Superman was like Batman, Flash, (most Super Heroes) and kept his identity a secret then yes the glasses would be easy to spot as people would be looking to see who Superman is. But since Superman has already said publically that he is Kal El from Krypton no one is looking for his secret identity so Clark can freely walk around as no one suspects Superman has two alter egos Kal El and Clark Kent

Also, according to word of god, it also helps that he adopts an entirely different personality when he is Clark Kent. I heard someone comment that the actual best portrayal of it is how Christopher Reeves did it.

The connection between Capone and Blackbeard is that they're both criminal legends.
Also, they pick most of the battles randomly from comments, and usually there's a connection between the rappers, but sometimes it's a purely random matchup, like Ghenghis Khan vs Easter Bunny.

some of the early ones like Kim Jong Il vs Hulk Hogan were random, but from season 2 onwards there is almost always some equivalence or connection between who they're having battle
They take ideas from comments and patreon, they have to have some sort of connection, then they work with their patreon members to deep dive into the characters for the lyrics, thats how they are able to get so many obscure facts packed into each line. The Knox Hill erb reaction series does a great job breaking down the lines and it is amazing how much they use double and triple entendres especially in their later battles. Seems like every line in the later battles have 2 to 3 ways it could be taken. Subscribe to erb and erb2 and you will see they often ask for suggestions and do polls on what people want to see. Another good source of info is the behind the scenes that they do. My favorite ERB are the 2 Nice Peter vs Epic Lloyd battlea.

They always choose the rap battles from comment suggestions, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily random. People who suggest them see a connection and even ones where a connection isn't obvious, the ERB guys always work to come up with a connection when writing their rap verses.
"Donald Trump VS Ebenezer Scrooge" wasn't really a rap battle; it was like a rap version of the movie "A Christmas Carol"; while there's already Scrooge and The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, Trump represented Jacob Marley, J.P. Morgan represented The Ghost of Christmas Past, and Kanye West represented The Ghost of Christmas Present

38:50 This was actually addressed in (I believe) new 52. Somebody asks Superman if anybody recognizes him when he takes off his glasses as Clark Kent.
He replies by saying that: yes, they do. They say he resembles Superman, but that’s it. His altar ego is still too unlikely of a character to be Superman so they dismiss it soon afterwards. That’s the whole point of his nerdy altar ego.
I guess you could compare it to how some people resemble celebrities, but you’d never think that they’re the real deal because of the unlikeliness of them just walking past you on the streets or standing behind you in line at Starbucks.
Superman has limits as well, his powers and abilties were just blown out of proportion over the years. He originally was only faster than a speeding bullet (as in standard revovler), more powerful than a locomotive (steam engine) and only able to leap tall buildings in a single bound/jump (not even able to fly). Everything else was added later by people ballooning his powers until he was pretty much a god.
OG Superman was on par with Goku in the beginning. With overblown powers added over the years.

So you agree that everything else makes sense? Besides, from an outsider standpoint, if you jump into a random Dragon Ball episode later on you'd be confused as fuck. I should know this because I tried and I was completely lost. Superman has a few confusing plotlines but as a comic book character you can get into it without knowing every single detail before because the panels usually give us an explanation as to what's happening.

Okie, so a couple things.
1: My numbers are based off of the smallest details, so like for that laughs I counted small chuckles, and when laughs would end if there was even a split second of no laughing I counted it as two separate laughs.
2: I am not sure what the exact parameters for "crazy faces" were, so I counted each time Miss Christine would make an outrageous face as crazy.
And 3: I honestly am just a really big fan and am glad to be participating in this activity. I'm sure I'm gonna get beat by a few dozen people, but I'm glad I tried hehe.

Well, the first source of suggestions is obviously from the comments. Ghostbusters vs Mythbusters, Ash Ketchum vs Charles Darwin, Michael Jackson vs Elvis, JRR Tolkien vs George RR Martin, Superman vs Goku, all battles that have been suggested since the very beginning of the series. But they have to make sure they have things in common, and if they have according to people only names in common, (Wonder Woman vs Stevie Wonder) the ERB crew always manages to bring aspects from both worlds into a third party battlefield where you'll discover that they have more in common than you think and that there are things that can be only said in matchups like these.
I'd also like Ari to check the UA-cam channel Mat4yo, he's a really talented guy who analyses Epic Rap Battles episodes and even got to work with the crew for Trump vs Clinton and Ash Ketchum vs Darwin. His work is impressive and you'll be amazed with what thoughts there all are behind the ERB episodes.

It's really interesting. It's done in an anime style, but with Western culture mixed in a lot. That, and the originality and expansive background makes for an all around great show.

Yes, every film can be objectively bad and good. And the same goes for any form of art, from sculture all the way to videogames. There is a reason why people STUDIES film making, just as art, is not just throwing brushes randomly on a blank page or filming things like whatever they please to.
Alexander Dragonfang Then tell me, who decides what is objectively good or bad? Every form of art has good points and bad points, it all depends on how you look at them.
Anyone in this particular case, with a solid base of film making studies can say if its good or bad, that is called expert judgement. Animation and real life records can share a movie, but not fight for it or get absurdly mixed. No matter the "plot" a plot needs to be consistent with itself, which in this case is not. Michael Jordan is not a good actor and it shows. Camera takes were average at best.
During its time, profesional critique of the movie was very severe, the movie was regarded a bad movie all across the board. That it had became popular for its "fun" theme, and later with the years became a "childhood" memory of many doesn't change the fact: Its bad. That a movie is fun or memoralble doesnt make it good.
I could find people who thinks Shamalayan adaptation of the avatar is amazing, i can find people who thinks jaden smith is the best young actor of our era, and i can find people who probably think michael bay is the greatest director of age. And guess what, they are all wrong.

ERB chooses from the comments at random, usually what has the most up votes throughout the season. That's why at the end they say "Who's next? You decide!". I'm guessing they already have them chosen a season ahead.
I hate to be this guy, but superman is not always super. Put him under a red sun, or let him use his ability that turns him into an atom bomb and he loses power. Also kryptonite. Goku however trained himself with his son Gohan to sustain ssj1 permanently as seen in the Cell games Saga, and Goku has no weakness that can lower his strength out of nowhere like a red sun or kryptonite. Also Superman is limited to the power of the red sun, while Goku has been seen causing enough force from his attacks to destroy the entire universe in his first fight against Birus, before he ever even unlocked his super saiyan blue form or gained mastery of his God ki. Also Goku always has that power within, and can unleash it at anytime, and he can also gain power from the sun and all living things in the universe, Superman is limited to the sun's rays to restore his powers. And last but not least, Superman is limited to maximum potential of the sun he is under, where as goku's limits keep rising every time he fights via his zenkai boost.
Also I like both characters, I think both are great, that's why I've studied into both of them this way but after looking at everything Goku is simply in a whole other class right now.
Those are weaknesses not limits. Limits mean there is a point where the power is drained under natural every day normal circumstances. Superman knows his weaknesses. If he avoids them, he is always super. People always bring up that Berus fight. If would be unfair if I brought up the fact that Superman can destroy universes with a sneeze, then right? I also like both characters and I have read the entire Dragon Ball manga and many interviews with Toriyama where he has discussed what the purpose was of Goku and his limits. -Ari

It's needed to be said that using multiple Supermans totally isn't unfair. Both characters have limits, both simply just don't have a maximum potential.
P.S. I don't think I need to say this but.....The Infinity and Eternity feats were also debunked on multiple occasions......so no one can really use those

2. Blackbeard had sly jabs and uppercuts that seemed to just go over the head. "Sink ya faster than tax evasion" as example. That's what got Capone in prison.
3. "When it comes to bad bitches I'm the patron saint." She ordained by heaven as the baddest bitch. Her French phrase, "Girl of Fire" (she was burned alive on the stake), that battle wasn't even close. Joan murdered her in like 6 lines.

i believe that is a mixture of both they pick the battles from the comments but they try to make sure that there's is some kind of similarities or sometimes the opponents are very clear oposites (even tho sometimes battles i'd say that are a stretch lol)
