- A vigil was held in Waikiki to remember the Oda family. The five family members died tragically at the hands of their father, Paris Oda, at their Manoa home.
Wow, my heart goes out to her. I can't imagine the sense of so much loss. The videos show a bit more of her siblings personalities and the good times. I hope this young lady will get therapy and healing for her heart.
These poor babies don’t know their life will cut short in the hand of a monster dad.

what beautiful videos . such a beautiful family. even if you became homeless you were blessed w each other. i have money but no children. you have to see the blessings in life at every turn that life gives you. and if you cant see the blessings yet. look for the lessons. look for your ancestors help and guidance . channel
their strength. i had to imagine them as i got thru pandemic. often alone.
I knew Paris, we grew up together on Kauai he’s my classmate we knew each other since kindergarten and I can honestly say he was always a nice guy. Mental illness or distress is clearly an epidemic that people cannot ignore nor take lightly. Always remember to constantly check on a friend or family member if you ever get any inclination that something isn’t right. It obviously could make a difference in getting them help or tragedy. This is a tremendous shock to all of us that knew him.
I patiently await some kind of breaking news saying that further investigations of the Oda household revealed that there was another party/person(s) at the house and this might been a "pro hit job".
something tells me this Oda case will become like Lahaina......hidden facts that dont show what REALLY happened.

Greedy and Selfish Parents…. I feel so bad for the 3 kids…. They could just sell the house and get a townhome or apartment. Sell that car get an affordable car. Take the kids out of private school and send them to public schools. That’s the future of their family is those kids. Selfish parents…. Live it a simple life
The wife had nothing to do with this . She didn’t know her husband would murder them all and I think it is more than fixing their finances. The husband hasn’t been paying taxes for his business in years and in the end I think he said he would rather die than go to prison. He sadly took his family with him😢
@@mrscitrine3592its been what.....few weeks ago....why hasnt HPD followed up on finding out more clues to this tragedy? I know got some bloggers who (probably are not asian) and wants to say good riddance....to me, I say NO NEED COMMENT or read the notes of others concerned!

@@mrscitrine3592If the IRS is involved, they probably tell investigators NOT to disclose what they might have found out.....doing so, would leave a bitter taste for this situation.

This is just shame for the family, community, and the state! No one wants to hear about this!
It appears, though we will not know unless they choose to speak; but it appears that the family he told of his distress & his specific plans to kill himself & his family , also did not wish to hear or be associated with the “shame”. & THAT is the shame that we must all think about, learn more about, listen to…& possibly even utilize in ways to prevent suicide/homicide family annihilation or at least lessen its occurrence. To me, if we turn away, that is the shame.
