  • This is the second part of my Leesa mattress review. We've been sleeping on the mattress for a couple of months so I'm finally able to give an honest opinion on it.

    We just bought a Tuft and Needle mattress two weeks ago, and we have been very disappointed. We should give it a bit longer, but I seriously doubt that our tossing and turning will go away. We are also waking up with tense back muscles, which is never good...so between Sleepopolis and this review, we have decided to purchase the Leesa :). Big thanks to you for doing this!! Cheers love

      Aah thanks so much for your lovely message Matt Ratliff! Yep - tossing and turning is no good at all!! It took just a couple of days for us to get used to the Leesa mattress and almost a year on, we're really happy with it. I hope that you get on OK with it - you have 100 nights to make your mind up!! ;)

    Great review. I'm just into my first month on my LEESA and I love it too; my experience is much like yours: the mattress is soft yet very supportive. It has just enough "hug" so that you're not sleeping "on top". It does hold you just enough. The acrid, rubbery smell from mine lasted only about a week, but my mattress is a Twin, so a lot less foam than your Super King. Two thumbs up here as well! Great value.

      Ah thanks so much Adam! They are AMAZING aren't they?! I'm so, so impressed. The rubbery smell is a small price to pay for such a comfy mattress! We are now 6 months in and still sleeping so well - plus my lower back pain is massively reduced as well! Amazing benefits from a relatively cheap mattress!!
      So glad you're having the same positive experience. Thanks so much for letting me know!! 😃👍🏻

      I will be getting mine Monday, I just sent back the Tuft and Needle, I found that bed to be to firm, and I got hot sleeping on it. Does the Leesa sleep hot? Thank you for your video....

      Jon, there is a tuft and needle shop here in San Francisco and I thought the bed was too hard so passed on it. My experience of the Leesa is that it's perfect, soft but supportive and sleeps cool.

      +JonHolz I totally agree with Adam! It's soft and supportive at the same time - we've been sleeping on ours for a good while now and it's still really, really comfortable! It isn't too hot either - the cooling top layer really does seem to work! It's much cooler than other memory foam mattresses I've slept on 👍🏻 Let me know how you get on - I hope you like it!!

    Casper mattresses make pillows that might work well. I don't have one but hear good reviews. We use latex foam pillows from Bed Bath and Beyond currently and love them.

      I WISH we had a Bed Bath and Beyond here!!! I love their stores when I visit the US!! ;)

    Bought a Casper and it sucks. It's great initially because it's so soft initially, but after that it's downhill. Ordered a Leesa.

      I've not heard of Caspar - I'm totally loving our Leesa one still 👍🏻 I hope you like it!! 😃

    Are you suppose to put a fitted sheet on it since it has a cover? This is my first bed I have ever bought (will be here in 2 days) and I do not know if I am suppose to or not. Thanks and great review

      Hello Gideon, so sorry, I totally missed your comment!! YES! You should always use a top sheet over the mattress!! :) Best wishes, C

    Greeting from the USA. Liked your video, what do you think will be the long term durability of your Leesa? I know they have a 10 year warranty which means about 5 -6 years before sagging starts at least a bit. The other concern I have is when moving to another dwelling, how heavy is this mattress to have to physically pick it up and carry it into a truck/lorry? Thank you.

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  8 років тому

      Hi majorghn! Thanks so much - I really can't answer that I'm afraid - I wish I knew myself!! We've been sleeping on ours for almost a year now and it's still really comfy. There's a slight ridge appearing in the middle of the mattress, between where we lie, but it doesn't appear to be sagging yet! :) We haven't tried moving it from the room it's in, so I'm not sure how easy it would be to transport. Probably no easier/harder than any mother mattress, I guess. I certainly don't think you'd ever get it back in the box it came in!! ;)

      The Twinkle Diaries are you worried about this ridge

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  7 років тому

      Hi SillyMando - we've actually put some boards underneath the mattress, so it's not sitting on top of the slats and this seems to have sorted the problem! :) Fingers crossed it stays that way!

    I am a side sleeper and hip pressure point is my main issue with my current mattress. And since it is memory foam, is hot. What do you think of the Leesa for a side sleeper? I'm 6' 160lbs. Thanks!

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  7 років тому

      Hi Jarrod - my husband is a side sleeper! He's shorter than you but around the same weight. He loves the Leesa and sleeps well on it. The cooling top layer definitely makes it less hot than standard memory foam mattresses. If you order the Leesa, you can have a 100 night trial. They will take it back if you don't like it :) Good luck!

      less hot than standard memory foam, but how about compared to a non foam, old school (spring?) mattress. Does it feel warm under you? I ask because we live in a warm area and don't need a hot mattress :)

    Hello, any opnion on the pillow? I'm also a side sleeper.

      Hi there! So sorry for the delayed response . I'm so sorry - I don't have a Leesa pillow so I can'r comment on those. I'm a side sleeper too and I have the Comfort Cloud from Tempur. Hope this helps!

    You've had the mattress for a while now.. please give us an update. Any sagging in the middle yet?

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  6 років тому

      Hi Zelly - no - not as yet, which is surprising as it's a superking mattress. So far, so good.

    What do you think of this mattress for someone who sleeps on their stomach?

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  8 років тому

      +CapeCodBelle Hello! I think it would be fine - I occasionally sleep on my stomach and have found the mattress to be really comfortable!! It's not as hot as normal memory foam mattresses either, as it's got a cooling top layer.
      Plus you can order a Leesa mattress and try it out for yourself! If you don't like it, they'll come and collect it within 100 days! Win win :)

    Did you place your Leesa mattress on top of your boxspring?

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  7 років тому

      Hi Steven! No, the Leesa mattress sits on top of a wooden slatted base. Although we kept our boxspring mattress underneath the bedframe until we were sure that we were 100% happy with the Leesa mattress! I was too scared to get rid of it straight away incase we weren't happy and decided to send the Leesa back!! :)

      I'm so leaning towards the Leesa (and my g/f is named Leesa too lol) I've been comparing Leesa with Turt and Needle, Caspar among others and Leesa keeps coming back as the one.

    • @thelistedhome
      @thelistedhome  7 років тому

      Try it out Steven :) You can test it for 100 nights and if you decide you don't like it, they'll come and collect it and give you your money back, no questions asked. You literally have nothing to lose. But I'd DEFINITELY advise keeping your current mattress just in case!! I was so happy we kept ours until I was positive we were going to keep the Leesa. It would have been a costly mistake otherwise as we'd have HAD to get another mattress to replace our old one. Thankfully we love the Leesa - and the Red Cross benefitted from our old one too :)
      PS - we don't have Tuft and Needle and Caspar in the UK but if you read some of the comments on the thread, other people have mentioned both of those brands! Good luck!! :)
