I adore the late great Fred Anderson. I had the pleasure to watch him perform multiple times at his palace called "The Velvet Lounge." Many great acts and performers played graciously and genuinely including but not limited to: Malachi Favors, Ken Vandermark, Fred Hopkins, Hamid Drake, Kent Kessler, and so on. Wonderful memories that I will cherished forever.

Ironically both Hamid Drake and the late, great Fred Anderson were born in Louisiana but made their bones in Chicago.
Jaribu has played extensively with Roscoe Mitchell and even the AEC after Malachi Passed, all great musicians!
