Great to see another video up. Great to see you shooting in the studio. Awesome to see you printing in the darkroom. Mistakes like the red light one only happen once.
Very nice video Tom…been there, mistakes make you learn and being honest about it is the only way! What kind of Graflex back were you using as it appears Instax Fuji film? Be safe, Cheers..
At a time when the conversations revolve around Leica M6 prices, whether the M11 is an improvement over its predecessors and latest digital gear, you seem to have skirted the popular conversation and take your large format work up a level. I realise the commercial implications of this (there is that undercurrent of it in the video) but damn. You have the perfect setup to make images of rockstars and celebrities ! Or even of anyone to that matter. Hope you and the family are well and thriving. I realise that your commercial work may tick an upsurge however I do fervently hope you make videos. Good nay great and honest content is hard to come by when most things have the sheen and veneer of superficiality.
My recent mistakes. Fixer before developer ruining film I like but don’t shot much because it’s expensive. Loading about 10 4x5 double dark slides with emulsion facing slide and thinking the film seemed to respond differently to 35mm in developer and shooting some more before I realised. Of course taking the dark slide out with the shutter open. My most common error which I keep repeating is taking a 35mm film camera I’ve not used for a while, opening the back to put film in….and finding exposed film there already.
Great resource having the studio and a friend/mentor available.
Great results from the experiment. Enjoy the honesty about learning from mistakes. Keep on. Super work. Thank you.

Thanks. It’s the Lomograflok back for 4x5 and yes it uses Fuji instax wide film.
That was really interesting and, having been there, what a super set up at Graham's
Absolutely wonderful and great :) so epic and so fun to watch :)
Awesome work Tom and what a great studio in this day and age👍

We’ve all been there!
I would love to see a video on your process with fiber papers - especially drying and framing!
How did you managed to have no boarders on the prints?
Good shout. Next time I make some fibre prints I’ll do a video and show my process. My set up for no borders is pretty janky but works haha 😂
Thanks. Nice video after the last one…keep it up, take more film, take pictures … :)
