I was fascinated to see all the positive reviews. Nightqueen obviously put a lot of thought and work into this version of a song that at one time I thought so private that it shouldn't have been written at all. I love Joan Baez' voice and sentiment. Candice Night does a very good job. For all the bombast, this is a pale imitation of a great song of my youth.
Yeah well...couldn't agree more. The thing is, notwithstanding the haunting melody, the story being told is the crucial thing. To wrap them up is some quasiwargnerian monster misses the point...never mind. 2.5/10
If blindfolded, would only recognize at 1:43, that said, Excellent styling. So difficult when we are hearing Rob's voice in our heads. Epic Second half.
Great version! and as the description says it's a tribute to both styles of the song. I think it works very well. Congrats. As an aside, the singer reminded me of Kai Hansen when she does those snappy vocals (and she's really into it and that's what really matters).
Joan Baez has written the original, but many artists adapted the song in their manner. We can mention: Judas Priest, Blackmore Night, Axel Rudy Pell, Nightqueen.
You do realize that Joan Baez wrote and first performed this song, years before Priest. I'd say their version is fantastic. But they did not write this song.
I much prefer Blackmore's Night, in which you can feel infinite depth and sincerity. There is a huge difference between the 2. This one reminds me of something out of a horror flick. And the guitars mute the affect of the melody, which is not all there anyway. However, I do really like the way the singer is dressed. I love that era of style.
I thought she had a strong voice, on par with my beloved "air raid siren" Bruce Dickinson. To be frank, when 3:20 happened, I was half expecting it. The articulation suffers a bit, as noted by others, but pretty good cover nonetheless.
The performance was very incredible all of them AWESOME!!!
First I've thought it was just another boring Version - But then it explodes - Exciting 🙂
I always say this, metal is another kind of classic music ...
It's not a metal song, it's an old folk song
Metal is classical with eletricity.
Great rendition ❤🤘
Maybe the best cover ever, just amazing.
Finally a cover that gives justice to the original and Judas Priest version! Awesome!!! A+++++
over exalted
She's really getting into it by the second half of this video.

Todas as versões são sensacionais, mas a do Judas Priest, com Rob Halford é soberba.
Magnifico
I'll just have them all, thank you.
@@vanderleyaugustocanuto8726 Concordo amigo espetacular é pouco, Halford e Dio são os deuses do Heavy Metal.
Bravo !!!!
One of the best interpretations ever! Think about whether you will bring a joint performance with Judas Priest 😉🤘💪🤟‼

Beautiful!!!
This is kind of cool. Very campy version. The vocalist has a future in the "the killer B's".
When referencing Judas Priest's cover version of "Diamonds And Rust" the fact that portions of the lyrics of Joan Baez original version which she wrote are left out. This cover version by NIGHTQUEEN also omits the same portions of lyrics"
*DIAMONDS AND RUST*
(Words and Music by Joan Baez)
Well I'll be damned
Here comes your ghost again
But that's not unusual
It's just that the moon is full
And you happened to call
And here I sit
Hand on the telephone
Hearing a voice I'd known
A couple of light years ago
Heading straight for a fall
*As I remember your eyes
Were bluer than robin's eggs
My poetry was lousy you said
Where are you calling from?
A booth in the midwest
Ten years ago
I bought you some cufflinks
You brought me something
We both know what memories can bring
They bring diamonds and rust
Well you burst on the scene
Already a legend
The unwashed phenomenon
The original vagabond
You strayed into my arms
And there you stayed
Temporarily lost at sea
The Madonna was yours for free
Yes the girl on the half-shell
Would keep you unharmed*
Now I see you standing
With brown leaves falling around
And snow in your hair
Now you're smiling out the window
Of that crummy hotel
Over Washington Square
Our breath comes out white clouds
Mingles and hangs in the air
Speaking strictly for me
We both could have died then and there
Now you're telling me
You're not nostalgic
Then give me another word for it
You who are so good with words
And at keeping things vague
Because I need some of that vagueness now
It's all come back too clearly
Yes I loved you dearly
And if you're offering me diamonds and rust
I've already paid

I LiiiIIIIIIKE.
Pro mě nejlepší verze téhle písně, prostě super😀♥️
Vibrante versiòn del tema de Joan Baez, mezcla clàsica, heavy y rock. Grandiosa.
Esta version es de Judas Priest
the best this of the judas priest
Classic without electricity
TAK TO JE NADHERA-------------------------------------MOC SUPER--------SICE PREDELAVKA,ALE MYSLIM,ZE I ROB HALFORD BY BYL SPOKOJEN
Imagery is superb, was expecting a symphonic metal track, not a Bett Middler cover.
too dangerous!
kick ass metal.....
Like 3 minutes in and I'm thinking "this is good but I wanted something a little more high energy OMG THIS ROCKS"
I get a bit of a 'lick my love pump' vibe on the intro piano
Oh Bob Dylan.
What are you gonna do Next?
Who are you gonna do Next?
Joan Baez?
Intense music...but...480P?
top
Imagine an Amanda Somerville/ Michael Kiske version of this...
He plays the piano well with bandages on his hands.
Judas Priest owns this song, sorry Nightqueen, Joan Baez and anybody else who tries to sing it.
Original de Joan Baez.
Baez wrote this song about her lost love and relationship with bob dylan
Joan Baez has written the original, but many artists adapted the song in their manner. We can mention: Judas Priest, Blackmore Night, Axel Rudy Pell, Nightqueen.

good
Now check out the 2009 cover by the late great Taylor Mitchell...!
Enchanting. R

The instrumental parts are extemely good, and it feels like the overall quality of the song goes down when the song starts.
Musica per il Paradiso
ESPLENDIDA
I went a white Jackson Flying V!
I prefer Judas and Joan!
+Tommy Andersson Well, it did improve longer into the song. Not too shabby.
I don't know... Baez's lyrics are about nostalgy, sadness and joy... Not creepy semi-halloween goths...
She created the song that is more rich than she wanted.
