I don’t know how in the heck you were able to leave this house!!! It’s just perfection!!! I love your FL house too and have followed you since 2010. Your style is so beautiful and livable. This was my favorite house by far.
Such a gorgeous house! You guys did such a good job on it - must be such a strange feeling being so excited to move but at the same time so sad to leave behind something you love
That laundry room made me way too sentimental lol. I’ve loved following along on this journey and I cannot wait to see what you do with a smaller space in another place!! 💕💕
I’ll miss your house, but can’t wait to see what you do with the Florida house! PS, you were my gateway drug into podcasts a couple years ago. Now I listen all the time! Never miss an episode of yours!
Please keep all of these videos and photos on the blog, I have referenced so many projects from the Richmond home for my own home! I value both John and Sherry's reasoning and experience and how they decide what to tackle and what works for them and what doesn't. Excited for the Florida home, and how it will come together!
I have been watching/reading since the early days in your first house. This house has been so fun to watch transform. So many changes and upgrades. I have watched this video 3 times and notice something I missed each time. I did a rough count of all of the potted plants and floral/ stem arrangements during the third viewing. I might have to watch again to check my count of 54-55ish. Now I need to up my plant game! Looking forward to see all that you do in the new FL house. ☀️🌿💕
This is bittersweet. I simply adore this house. I have been following you guys since Sherry posted about dyeing her wedding dress. You have inspired so much about my own home. I cannot wait to see what you do with your Florida house.
Love your master bathroom. So many memories of all of your projects as the house evolved over the years. Your Richmond house inspired us so much with our own home renovations and remodelling (though we work much slower than you guys) - our house is still a work in progress and I look forward to the day we can hopefully do a tour of our finished home and enjoy it for at least a couple of years before we downsize. ❤️
We have been in our current home for 2 years and I can so relate to enjoying the beauty of a home but being ready to downsize. This was is good for us right now but we see ourselves somewhere simpler in 5 years. That master bathroom though...
I'm here to say two things. First, I love what you've done with this house. It's clear a lot of love went into it. And second, I would MUCH rather you talk through the tour than have that crappy music. I would've loved to have heard some last thoughts and commentary. Instead, I muted it and had the "silent" tour. Thanks for posting though. I'm excited to see what you do with the Florida house. Please give us some tours with commentary on that one! I heard a rumor you love talking... Why stop now?
I've been following your blog for years and have enjoyed the makeovers of all your homes and properties. I'm looking forward to seeing what changes you make in your Florida home. I have one question about the Richmond home, do you remember what brand of wood stain you used on your first floor hardwood? I read that it was provincial, but wasn't sure which brand you chose. Thanks so much and congratulations on your new home!

It's all so perfect! I got strangely emotional at this! I'm so excited for you guys with the FL house, but sad to see this one go!

Your video about your very first home was the first home tour I ever watched on YT and realised this is a thing...💕

Gonna miss that room for sure!
Lovely home. The new owners must be so excited to be living here. You have such good taste!

Ha! That planter number seems about right. :)
Why did a house tour make me cry? 😭 You guys did such an amazing job with this house, and I can’t wait to see what the Florida house brings!

What is that song?? Love it but Shazam can't identify it :(

It was Minwax brand. :)
Thank you so much! We ended up choosing provincial and it is also Minwax. It looks gorgeous! Thanks for the inspiration. 😀
How would clean up a woody floor? Is it alright to use water or something else?
Whyyyy? 😭 If that was my house I would never move from there.
Waaaaaaw
This is a gorgeous house! But understand why you want to downsize...
No. No kitchen with my back turn SECURITY REASONS
