I explain what happened with the Streetfighter 848 and how it was fixed. Good info if you have one of these bikes or if you need a new dash ever in the future.
you can go pretty crazy with this bike....on the build I mean. Nice.....I have one myself! bought it in 2015 and now it has 24,000 miles on her runs like a champ! Got her older sister to....that bike is even more fun 1098S. Good to know about the dash though hasn't happened to me yet.
I had a similar problem with my dash too, but two times😂. It ended up being a loose connection between the dash and the cable on the back once, and the other time is was because my Speedohealer was broken. Got to say, you have great taste in mods as I have many of the same myself🤣
Luckily we verified it was the dash before we went down this route. That would have sucked to find out it was something simple! And thanks! Your bike is 🤌 Your “new bike/new me” video is what made me want to start doing video stuff with my bike. Although I’ve been waiting to do my “glamour shoot” until I’m at a point where I think it’s closer to being ready lol.
The Motodynamic tail light needs the flasher relays, but did the Motogadget Bar End signals need anything special? I have the Rizoma LEDs up front, but these bar end ones look a little sleeker.
No I’m pretty sure the led flasher relay for the rear is all I needed. I know if you do one or the other… you don’t need the led relay. But if you do led’s on both front and rear then you need one
I got the taillight from motivationusa.com , the motogadget stuff from revivalcycles.com back when I had my cafe racer project. The bars I bought from a Ducati.ms forum member.
What version of the domino grips do you have on there? thinking I'm gonna swap out my rizoma lux grips for something a little more "grippy". You like em?
@@DesmoMarcel yeah he must have thrown on an r1 throttle tube on or something. I went and found my stock grips and the tube has ridges next to the throttle linkage that grab the end of the stock grip and don't sit flush against the domino ones. By the looks of yours they sit flat against the linkage.
@@RGSPro Definitely did not put an R1 tube on, that would’ve created a different throttle response. Mine still feels like the heavier stock Ducati one.

@@omarbuena7313 i only had the dash, that’s why I had to send to sos diagnostics. But if you have the key card for the replacement dash, you can disable the immobilizer
I need my dash replaced and was wanting to know if its simple to get like get ducati to order one or is it a hard process where i would have to look for second hand dash ??
@@omarbuena7313 when I called my local dealer they had one available for $1200. I tried to go cheaper by getting used but it added up to about 900-1000 used after everything
The dash died. When that happens nothing on the bike will work. Had to replace the dash. I wouldn’t say it’s common, but enough that there are websites and businesses that know about it and have a service for it. Most were probably replaced under warranty
After we installed the taillight the engine light came on. Mechanic hooked it up to ducati software to check it out but nothing shows up, so there’s no engine light to clear. We have a few ideas to check out…but bike runs perfectly normal.
@@DesmoMarcel Just installed the same tail light in my SFS. Hope I don't get the same issue. Just got mine back on the road after 5 years too. Ready to ride again... now that it's nearly December...

Yeah there’s something about these that’s super customizable. One day I’ll get a 1098S to add to the stall

@@DesmoMarcel I got those domino grips, but the throttle side doesn't fit quite right on the stock throttle tube. Did you swap the tube out?

In order to switch the dash what all parts need to come with it dash ,ignition ,ecu,???

Nice streetfighter Marcel! What was the Problem with the dash? It just goes out while riding and never came up?
