This is actually the version of Infinite we need! The song and the backstory in this video explains him better than in the game itself, and I wish this was the real story to him. I feel like there is more to Infinite than just "I'm not weak ARGGGH!" and then take over the world. I feel like he had a rough childhood which led him into becoming a mercenary and forming his own squad, then losing his squad and being called weak was the cherry on top of this emotional pain. Which lead him to join forces with Eggman.

Indeed, I used to also think of Infinite as weak until I found a different video about the Jackal Squad and now Infinite is my favorite character and I would love to see him punch the black and red bastard in the face.
People see infinite as a guy with a huge ego but if you look at the comic and he hints from the game it seems that even before he had the ruby he was driven into insanity losing his friends
I love this! This inspired me to make an AU where Rookie joins Infinite and betrays the Resistance in order to survive and he never overcomes his fear like he does in the game.

Wow! You did a great job with this animation! I loved the effect you got with Infinite crushing the cube, catching the rookie's punch so effortlessly, throwing those red shards,rookie's determined expression, and the way that only the eyes and Infinite's power glow were colored were all fantastic!
The only good thing about Sonic Forces is Infinite the Jackal he's such a badass character I hope he returns in a better Sonic game. I also like him he's the best newest villain ever. I hope he returns still wearing his mask. He also reminds me of Slade from Teen Titans due to his mask having only one eye. I would love to see him voiced by Ron Perlman.

I'm debating on writing a story on Wattpad and using this song now hear me out it starts when he realizes that Eggman got defeated and that all of his efforts were for nothing then Eggman takes the Phantom Ruby right off of his chest which then leaves infinite with two choices 1 let himself die alone and afraid or two survive by turning himself in as a prisoner to the resistance. Have it so that some of the power from the Phantom Ruby still lingers within him like an infected wound and it keeps giving him flashbacks and hallucinations that terrify him and causing him to freak out at times screaming about what seems like nothing and pulling out his hair in the prison cell and the resistance members start believing that he is clinically insane and they send the gadget in to try to find some answers by breaking the ice and pretending to be his friend but truth be told Gadget becomes sympathetic for infinite even to the point where we get some shipping Fuel and make it so that at one point infinite gets asked the wrong question and have a total mental and emotional breakdown leaving him to very loudly cling onto gadget and hugging him tightly to try to relieve his own pain sobbing into the young wolves chest and all the while spitting out a single sentence over and over "Help me I'm so scared, I realize that now, I'm sorry for everything I've done, I'm just so hurt and Confused, I need help, please, help me." Sorry I have like zero punctuation in this comment I'm doing it all in speak to text format but even still what do you think of my idea? Should I write it on Wattpad?

Infinite is a complex and emotional character. I believe Infinite has trust issues and was possibly bullied in the past for having two different eye colors with adding that he lost the only living things that understood him causes to act totally different then how he was before reality hit him hard. Infinite only hurts others because of his past and what he's been through everything he's done is to just make sure nobody EVER hurts him again and I personally can connect to Infinite when I see him in this way as somebody that was bullied for just being themselves and then shutting out the real them and creating a whole new person to act as Infinite was Zero before and thought of himself as nothing over time I believe and then becoming everything he ever wanted as INFINITE. Deep down inside he is hurt, broken, and shattered pieces of what he once was in my opinion! Not everybody is bad their only bad if others have pushed them too much this also connects to some other sonic villains like Shadow, Eggman, and Rouge possibly even more that I've forgotten!
