    What fall? She was signed by the world's premiere mma organization, continues to develop as a fighter and is holding her own against some of the world's best, even picking up several wins along the way. Saying she had a rise and "fall" is a bit misleading when she is an active fighter in the middle of what most would consider successful career.

    "Brazilian prodigy"...first of all she's American. She was born in Arizona to an American mother. Her father "Megatron" Diaz is Brazilian. But she's American. Michael Bisbing said it best on the Joe Rogan show, _"My mother's Irish, I'm not. I was born in England, I'm English."_ Second, 19 is the minimum age you can get a black belt in jiu-jitsu. So, getting her black belt at that age isn't so extraordinary.
    To me, what slowed things down for her becoming a super star (inside and outside MMA) was: 1. the fake accent and pretending to need a translator for her matches. People likely looked at her less serious. The good looks and skills could have easily attracted offers from Hollywood like Carano and Rousey beforehand. But they probably said: _"We'll take a hard pass."_
    2. But probably the biggest thing was ending her coaching relationship with Jason Parillo. Before Jason, her striking was on a "Rousey" level. After he became her coach, her striking greatly improved. Now that she's on her own again, she's out there just swinging for the fences like a drunk frat boy, no technique. She needs to find herself a legit MMA training camp and not just her legendary dad and his buddies.

      She identifies with what she considers her race and culture. Similar to the Mex Americans, the Mexicans say you are a foreign gringo. The Americans say that you are an immigrant even if you are native to the southwest.

      @@roningarcia5771 when you were born here and raised here and currently living here you should identify as an American. They moved here for the opportunities of this country. If they want to identify as Brazilians they can go back there. I say the same thing about Kamari going to Africa and Sterling going to Jamaica!

    I don't believe physical assault on her at all by her husband.. Her father & his whole gym would rain fire on this 1 guy; even if he was some great fighter (which he's not) C'mon .

      I was thinking the exact same thing. Megaton is big-time "Old School," Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and nothing would stop him from killing her ex if he put hands on his daughter.

  • @BigBass-xf5yi
    @BigBass-xf5yi 28 днів тому +4

    I hope she can overcome all the stressors in her life. She was so good at BJJ , but just cant seem to transfer it to the octagon at a high level. She needs someone to teach her to set up her takedowns and to learn to actually take someone down quickly and efficiently. Her striking is inconsistent, but hopefully she gets the right training because she definitely has power. But developing a good double leg should be paramount for her. She wastes so much time trying to get opponents to the ground. Rooting for her tho.

    So good looking and a good fighter too I think all the turmoil in a personal life caught up with her but even more than that leaving her training camp in Arizona was a fatal move for her career. At her age whatever she was then mid twenties or late twenties to make such a change was a bad move. Different coaches different training partners she lost her confidence.
    As for the abuse allegations I believe them but probably both ways she was probably abusive towards him. And then she has to pay her ex-husband monthly alimony when she's not rich is absolutely unbelievable.

    Cant box, never really learned. Great on the ground, never really chained it all together, so hits the wall whenever there are better rounded opponents. She still has room for growth, and some decent star power but i think she'll have taken too much punishment by the time she gets there.....

      I understand if a American goes to Dads country for a while that individual will pick up a very slight accent however she was overdoing it even pretending not know English word she was looking for during interviews
