  • In this video, I'm teaching you how to fix a pulled thread on a knitted sweater. Don't you absolutely hate it when you find your knitted clothing torn or pulled from getting caught in a button or wire? Well, here's a solution if you have time on your hands and no money to buy a new sweater.
    NOTE: Please ignore my nails, I realize how ugly they are. I didn't have time to do them before the video.

    Thanks so much. I snagged a brand new sweater and you're the only video I could find that told what to do with the line it made, not just pulling the thread to the back! You saved me!!!

    This is awesome! I bought a sweater off ASOS (from Korea) it took ages to get here, and I swear to you.. Within two minutes.. In less than TWO minutes of owning this thing.. I pulled out a seam with damn nail....... Words cannot fully describe my annoyance. Gonna do this tonight! You've really helped me out :D

    Just wanted to say your video just saved my new sweater that was on its way to become my favorite sweater!!! Couldn’t believe it caught the white accent thread out of all the threads it could’ve caught. Took about an hour but it’s gone!! Thank you 💕💕

    Omg this video is a lifesaver! I wore a brand-new sweater dress to school today, and it got snagged in a bolt in my P.E. locker. A friend looked at it and said, "Easy. One stitch, one purl." I don't even know how to knit! I just pulled the yarn inwards and hoped no one noticed that awkward line all day. Thank you so much! I never knew I could use such a simple tool to fix that awkward bunched up line of yarn. Who knew a little safety pin could work wonders?

    I just fixed a hand knitted sweater that I pulled on a nail! I was so pleased the thread didn't break. I had never even heard of a sweater pull before but that's the first thing I googled and I found your video! It was quite therapeutic doing it. I used a thin knitting needle. Thank you for your video.

    New sweater as a gift and my cat pulls it (in two places) with his hind legs while I tried setting him down gently. Add to never-ending todo list: a mindful meditation task. Thank you for your sweet vid.

      Same here!!! They'll get you every time you're wearing a new knit :) But the pull in mine is really tight and the knit stitch seems very complicated.... Much more so than the stitch in the video. Not sure I can pull it off, but thanks to you I will think of it as meditation when I try!

    I'm not sure whether or not this would work on my sweater. See, I bought this sweater at a retail store (so, mass-produced, factory knitting is what we're dealing with, if that makes any difference)..my dog got to the sleeve, chewed a hole through it ,snapping (and swallowing) a bit of thread. Unfortunately, it's been torn, and the tear isn't split down the middle. Rather, it's a U-shaped kind of uneven hole. Due to limited character counts, I can't say more. Do you want pics? Thanks!

    • @camilleorfao
      @camilleorfao  3 роки тому +1

      It’s not shame. It’s feeling upset that you got a pull and wanting to fix it. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • @corange1
    @corange1 11 років тому

    Hi misscamco, how long did it take you from start to finish in mending your sweater? It looks 100% better than with that snag and hole! I'm sure we could only see it because we were looking for it. :)

  • @nikkib2588
    @nikkib2588 5 років тому

    I actually wouldn't care about the pull if you can't see it that much or if the sweater is all one color🙂 I'll cut the pulled thread and tie it up a few times and seal with super glue or nail polish underneath and trim the excess thread🙂faster and easier

    • @camilleorfao
      @camilleorfao  4 роки тому

      That’s a great alternative! Thanks for sharing :)

  • @camilleorfao
    @camilleorfao  11 років тому

    Like an actual hole? I don't think that'd be repairable unless you were to put like say, a patch over it. But because the threads would be "free" (lack of a better word), it would inevitable end up loosening and coming undone over time.

  • @kaitlyn3901
    @kaitlyn3901 8 років тому

    Same thing happens to me, I pulled it, And it ripped at the theme and wrecked it, I cut the ends so it was three quarter length and it's wool, And there's a thread at the end of the sleeve, 😬🙁

  • @camilleorfao
