Really fascinating. I'm fortunate to be following Eric Gillette on Twitter and it was through him that I got to learn about the new single (and also the band). Needless to mention that I'm totally in love with the tune. Thanks for doing this video and help us understand the meaning behind the band's name. Keep up the good work fellas 🤘🏼🤘🏼

I wonder if the band would acknowledge even a 1% hat-tip to Dream Theater, since the two founding members met as players in (DT's) Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress tour. One percent fellows? Okay how about this would you denounce, debunk, and repudiate my theory 100% That would also explain.

Since his 2nd Album, I kept checking up on new material from Eric Gillette, though he landed a job as a "six-cordiste" for Neal Morse, I was never into morse stuff (too light and happy all the time for a tortured spirit like me 😅) and thought that Eric must do something on his own or why not find himself another (heavier) band.
Well, I couldn't be much more when I realized that you formed a band with Tejeida and brought 2 talented people to the combo and I was sure before listening to Count Your Losses that you are gonna do serious "controlled' damage because I saw you playing on Cruise to The Edge the Gillette stuff and ... when I listened to your 1st single...Man ! This is JUST perfect progressive metal 🤩😎🥳💀👽💚💙!!!
Everything is super balanced, even the choice of singer coming from a Pop-Prog Rock band (Maraton) was very smart and hell yeah, the Drummer ... I love tham angry - agressive and precise.
Tejeida did a wonderful job, I like his was off playing, he dominates the ambiance without overstepping on other instruments (the same approach of Master Guru of Keys : Derek Sherinian and Diego you got also the same voice as Rudess face-blue-smiling).
You are definitely a super band on my radar face-turquoise-covering-eyes, and I hope you will press a physical CD, because from I have heard, this kind of CRESCENDO science must be present on my shelf.
NB : I seriously hope that Jacob Umansky will be a full-time bass player for you
Good Luck on your new journey and sheers/greetings from Casablanca - Morocco 🌍

God, this is Woke :(. I would have definitely chosen other names, especially when we are talking about one of the bloodiest and cruelest ancient civilizations, paying sacrifices of children and adults day after day.
    By the way...I am latino.

I would say the only thing woke here is that you are offended by our band name that means "dream".
Diego is from Mexico City. Maybe we should have gotten a Norse name honoring the Norwegian Vikings instead since two of our members are from Norway....ooo wait a minute...

@@TEMICBAND I'm really not offended, friends. Just do not understand why people idealise some cultures. There are a bunch of indigenous roots who are really worth to be remembered. Either way, if the intention of Diego was not to idealise Aztecas, my bad. Still I do think a name of a band has to be within a conceptual framework and therefore call for reflection.
Last thing, It wasn't my intention to generate animadversion but just open a discussion.

@@melodic777 What you have just said represent so well a Fallacy of Overgeneralization or hasty generalization. There have been so many and clear nuances among cultures. Aztecas lived 1300 to 1521AD by the way. Please if you have some arguments in favour to Aztecas, just play.
