I've been playing for almost 30 years (argh) and yet every video you make seems to open a new world of possibilities that I never thought about ... Thanks a lot.
right now sitting in the office and you made my 10 min bratk invaluable - cannot wait to get to my guitar to try this out with a nice looper playback. great stuff
Great dude! I'm still learning how to play a Jazz-Blues in Bb, so this is something I'm looking forward to getting stuck into! I'm finding connecting the phrases the hardest part. I have some really nice lines over Bb, but it's finding a nice phrase over Eb that 'works' with the first one. I'm spending a lot of time 'following my ears' which has been great fun & really fruitful
Ace man! Glad you’re getting on well. Given the context of this video - why not try pairing together Db and Eb major triads over your Eb7 chord in your blues, that’ll sound great! 🎸
Thanks for watching! I’m just going straight into my interface, and using Two Notes Genome plugin for amp sims. I think it’s basically a Klon into a deluxe reverb 🎸
@@LearnGuitarWithJimmyBrewer They are in theory butt 11th chords are not as straightforward to use as 7ths, 9ths and 13ths. I'd readily sub a 7th for a 9th or 13th, but would hesitate and really listen before subbing in an 11th...
The algorithm really delivered today. Great lesson! Subbed
I'm glad that it found you! Thanks for watching, I hope you find all of this useful 🎸

I'm really glad you like the things I'm offering, I enjoy sharing this stuff.
I hit 30 years of playing last week, terrifying 😂
You're bringing some easy to understand sophistication to guitar players seeking to break out of the pentatonic jail. Keep up the good work.
That's exactly what I'm hoping to offer, thanks so much for watching 🎸
Thanks bud - you have a very clear and comprehensive teaching style
Thanks a lot for watching, I’m happy you like my teaching style 🎸
Crazy brilliant. So much power in a few minutes of video. A year of study right here.
Thanks for watching! I agree, endless possibilities from a lovely simple idea 🎸
Mind blown...

One of your best yet Jimmy....this really gave me something different to think about....
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoyed it, this stuff was a revelation to me when I learned it 🎸
Bloody great. Just working some single lines for the tune Impressions and the F and G sound fantastic over D dorian. Legend.
Ah ha! You've pre-empted episode two! Glad you're finding it useful straight away 🎸
Great lesson lots of new stuff for me in this video. Well structured and articulated in an easy to understand way as well !
Thanks for watching, I’m really glad you enjoyed the lesson! Keep me posted on how you get on 🎸

Wicked
Thanks for watching, hope it's useful!
Love it. Looking forward to more triad pairings. What do you like to do in minor vamps? Like a modal Dorian jam?
You’ve anticipated my next video 😄 🎸

And there on the road to Damascus, I saw a holy light. The light said: "Do not fear, I am a Triad, and I will guide you home." Brewers 3:14
😂 amazing work
Sounds great! What are you using for the Les Paul tone!? I like that nice midrange-y tone you’re using there.

Is this G mixolydian?
Exactly that, yes
I haven't watched the whole video but F and G (G and F really) isn't G7, it's G11. F and G would be F6add9add#11. Which is a bit of a mouthful!
I’m talking about the overall modal context. G11 and G7 are functionally speaking the same thing.

Not sure if it affects the YT algorithms....but correct the typo in the title!
Thanks for the spot, fitting all this in around work often causes me to rush and miss things 🤦♂️
bull shit my friend !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Care to elaborate? I’m not quite sure why I’ve made you angry with this 🎸
