- Hope these tips help you guys out and if you have any questions then just drop a comment down below! Brushing them outside is a way better option than anywhere inside but thats very weather dependant and for most might not be feasible!

This is great advice! My pug sheds SO SO MUCH, and there’s fur EVERYWHERE! I can’t even wear black bc all the fur is more noticeable on there 😂😂
It's a nightmare! Chelsey wears black for work so we've just invested in lint rollers and giving a good brush before leaving the house 😂
That Pug Pablo lint rollers are life savers! I carry one in my backpack and purse bc i always find at least one piece of fur 😂

WE LIVE FOR FURMINATORS. We have to replace every year because he's SO thick coated and goes through the blade quickly. But loooves being brushed. Thanks for the video :) :)

Great vid and love your puggy. I actually use one of the brushing gloves with silicon nubs on it. Pulls off tons of hair and peels away and toss it in the trash.

both my boys get a big brush at the end of the week although our beagle isnt shedding too much yet, our lab sheds constantly, even if he has a cuddle on your lap his fur is constantly falling out, they have a furminator and its the best brush in the whole world :) although we dont use a brush after the furminator, it might be worth a try to see if that helps :)
It's great! We found after using it a couple of times that it was taking the hairs out but not lifting them out the coat so needed a little bit extra! Depends on the coat really :)

Pugs would be happy anywhere if you show them enough love 😁, But if they are in a flat make sure they get out often for walks and runs in open spaces as they love exercise!
We haven't had Pablo around children so I couldn't personally say but from what people tell me they are great around children as they're very gentle and just love all people! As for cats .. Pugs will be fine around cats, its wether the cat likes the pug, haha!
Pugs shed A LOT! I would ask a doctor if the hair would affect the asthma, I'm not sure about that one 🤔

If you don’t brush him does his hair drop significantly a lot compare to other dogs or only when you brush him then the hairs will pour out?
Pugs hair falls out constantly but after brushing a lot less will fall out compared to not burhsing him :)

If you furminate outside (we do in the summer), we rinse it away with the hose and then the birdies use it for nests! :) It's super soft and there's a ton of it for the birdies to use

ATTENTION: if you watch this and still doubt the power of the Furminator, let me just tell you it is without a doubt the BEST shedding tool I have ever used. I've got a pug just a little too young to use this on him, but my other two dogs LOVE theirs and it works better than literally anything. It's incredible.

My Tip: Give your dog something to chew while you're brushing him, he'll want to lie down, but it's much easier to keep them still! I liked the dried beef tendons, helps clean their teeth too. ;-)
I've never heard of brushing against the fur the way you finished his brushing. Where did you learn that? I think groomers always go with the fur, or is this something I never found out about?
... My pug sadly went to heaven this spring, but I used to brush him outside whenever I could, if you can do this it's great... it helped that for most of his life I had a covered area to do so.

Careful! If you use Furminator too much you can actually hurt the dog. I would only use it once a week and brush the remaining days of the week with a regular brush. Beautiful Pugeroo 😍

Wonderful video. It's good to see a responsible owner. However, it is harmful to a dogs skin if you furminate every day! Professional groomers will tell you that once a week is too often on a short hair dog like a pug. Personally, I would definitely brush a pug every day with a regular brush if you desire, but to furminate a short haired dog should only be once every 3 months to be honest. Furminators can really irritate the skin as they are purposely made to dig deep.
This is me, deshredding my two pugs... Impossible task, they always go away and come back, go away and come back... play with the furminator, go away, come back...

I use a furminater for my two pugs and I love it
Try starting at the top of the pug (the top of the neck) and go down (the tail), all the fur will go to the butt as well as fleas

My pug sheds LOADS! I use the furminator, but I never thought to brush against the grain with his normal brush. I'm totally going to try it. I just want my little boy to be comfortable, especially in the summer. Thank you.

I've just received a pug to look after as her owners had problems.
Now we currently have a male French bulldog and they have become instant friends.
But the hair i didn't think a dog could lose so much hair i even thought of using the garden blower.
But after watching you I'll get a brush and start brushing a bit every second day at first.

I ❤️ Pablo. He’s such a sweet boy and stayed put during his grooming (as well as an energetic pug can). The biting attempts made me giggle although I’m sure they don’t feel good.
He wanders off occasionally but its to be expected! The teeth are sharp but it's never too powerful so doesn't hurt 😊

Try a baby wipe to put the dog hair on. It sticks SO well then you just roll it up and throw it away. We use wipes for our pug's face anyway so we always have them on hand!
Use a "stickie roller" for your clothing. Works great for removing doggy or cat fur after fur removal of the pouch

Bet you can't wait!! 🙌🏻 We've gave him the 'teeth cleaning chews' but never actually cleaned them! We were recommended that we should so we'll be doing a video on that soon hopefully 😁

Thank you Soo much for this video . Do you have another video for how to brush a pugs teeth. A pugs teeth are so low to the gums I wouldn't even know how to.
How many months old was Pablo before you started using the furminator?
You have to wait for the adult hair to be grown in and the baby hair to have gone, I think Pablo was around 6 months when we started using the furminator, before then we just used to brush him with our hands :)

Also use a furminator. For the second, against the hair grain brushing; we use a standard soft bristle brush. Occasionally need a wire brush for small hair knots in the neck area.

Can I use this one on my 5 months old pug?
They do a special puppy one called 'My Furst Groomer' which is for puppy coats, it's recommended not to use this Furminator until they have their adult coats. You can tell if they have started growing their adult coat as it will feel different to the soft fluffy coat, if they're shedding hair then thats the adult coat coming through

I use hyalonic spray on the fur or there lotion, work in the fur and skin. Deeply hydrating and soft..

A lot of people don't! We didn't know either
fawn pugs actually have a double coat hence shedding a hell of a lot, black pugs have a single coat and don’t shed half as much as the fawn colour, the reason why i chose to have a black pug! doesn’t shed anything like that at all! and definitely not that much daily, monthly if that!
